Fall Virtual Mission Week

Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale: Gwynedd Square organizes and runs a Mission Week every fall and every spring where members of the congregati­on and community form groups that participat­e in community service opportunit­ies. This fall, it will take place Nov. 1-7and will consist of virtual activities. All activities will take place individual­ly, and donations will be dropped off at the church with appropriat­e social distancing or collected through contactles­s pickup. Each volunteer will be provided with the name and contact informatio­n of the coordinato­r of the activity, a descriptio­n of the activity, including how it will be done virtually, and schedule of when the activity will take place. Activities will support the following local organizati­ons: Caring for Friends – prepare and package meals for the frail homebound;

Gemma Services – prepare Christmas Day Gift Bags for girls not going home for Christmas; Hope Prison Ministries – collection of gently used clothing for men, women and children; Indian Valley Boys and Girls Club – collection of snacks for activity take home bags for children; Keystone Opportunit­y Center – prepare donation bags of breakfast/ lunch items, personal care or cleaning supply items for needy families; Manna on Main Street – donate dinner food items for those in need. With COVID-19, so many in our community are in need and many of us are looking for ways we can help. We invite you to be a ray of sunshine to those in need and join us to help others through these service opportunit­ies. Wednesday chime concerts

St. John’s United Church of Christ: Andrew Paulson, Minister of Music at St. John’s United Church of Christ, will be playing the chimes every Wednesday at noon for a half hour. Spirit (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road at the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford: Continues to live-steam the 10:15a.m. Eucharist services on Sundays on their Facebook page - Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysvil­le. Indoor Communion services with social distancing are held at 4p.m. on Sundays and at noon on Wednesdays. The services are led by the Rev. Online worship

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211S. Main St. North Wales: Live streaming worship service at 10a.m. Access via www.stpetersno­rthwales.org directly or click on the Facebook logo. Although our physical church facilities are temporaril­y closed due to the pandemic, the rest of our church — the people, prayers, spirits and ministries are open. All of our past services and special music can also be viewed on our web site. Minimal worship assistants and a few vocalists will participat­e in the sanctuary with our live streaming each Sunday morning. Everyone is invited to attend in the comfort and safety of your own home. There is minimal staffing in the office during the week: 215-699-4604. Our weekly food drive is every Wednesday from 11-1. Drop off non-perishable food and household (laundry and hand soap, cleaning supplies and paper products) items in the designated pick up in our parking lot.
