Faith Christian edges Dock in OT

FAITH CHRISTIAN 2, DOCK 1 » On what is likely the last home game of the season for Dock, the Pioneers battled Faith Christian to a 1-1 game in regulation, but fell short in OT.

Midway through the first half, Justin Detweiler cleared a ball from the back line that got in behind Faith’s defense and Ben Lare was able to slip in behind the center back and beat Faith’s keeper to put Dock up 1-0.

Dock and Faith battled throughout the game with each team having numerous scoring opportunit­ies.

Dock keeper Reynaldo Ramos made some key saves from close range to keep Dock in the lead for the first half, but early in the second half Kerian Rea found a cross on the near post that beat Ramos.

In the final seconds of regulation, Ramos made another big save from a shot from Chris Evans to take the game into OT. Ramos finished the game with 11 saves on 13 shots.

With less than 1 minute remaining in the first OT

Luke Perrault sent a long service into the box that found the foot of Chris Evans for a one time volley to end the game.

Dock (7-4, 6-2) looks to wrap up the regular season on the road against Phoenixvil­le on Monday and then prepare for the District playoffs November 2.

POTTS GROVE 2, ME TH ACT ON 0» Shane Gleason and Luke Kaiser scored the goal as the Falcons blanked the Warriors on Thursday. Charlie Bordonaro and Steve Remish combined for 7 saves for Methacton (3-6-1).

SOUDERTON 1, CB WEST 1 » Thomas Smith scored the lone goal of the game in the 77th minute for the Indians. Ty Quintois picked up the assist for Souderton.

PHOENIX VILLE 2, P JP II 1» Ben Rubinich scored at 5:25 left in the second half but the Golden Panthers dropped the contest on Thursday. Dylan Russ made 7 saves in net for PJP.

PHOENIX VILLE 1, UPPER MERION 0» A va La bi ks cored the lone game of the goal for the Falcons in PAC play on Thursday. Sarah Adams was outstandin­g in net for the Vikings with nine saves. DOCK 3, DELCO CHRISTIAN 0» Kenzie Derstine, Abby Brown and Peyton Scialana scored the goals for the Pioneers on Wednesday. Ashley Lapp, Tess Bergey and Abby Brown picked up the assists for Dock. ME TH ACT ON 2, POTTS GROVE 1» Pottsgrove’s Avery Makoid opened the scoring late in the first half (38th minute) off of a corner kick. Methacton’s Ruby Murray answered right back 1 minute later on a penalty kick, as freshman Aubrey Beaugard was taken down inside the box. Murray scored her 2nd of the game 5 minutes into the second half, finishing off a shot from distance into the far post side netting from an Aubrey Beaugard pass. Methacton goalkeeper Mairi Smith and Pottsgrove keeper Corrine Hudock each made 4 saves. Methacton led in shots at goal, 19-11. Methacton is now 4-3-2 in the PAC.

DOCK 2, JENKINTOWN 0 » Celeste Derstine scored a goal and an assist as the Pioneers won on Senior Night. Ainsley Moyer also scored, while Casey Harper made three saves in net. Lauren Brockwell had 10 saves for Jenkintown. The win clinches the BAL title with an undefeated mark at 11-0 for Dock.

DOCK 5, PLUMSTEAD CHRISTIAN 0 » Kylie Godshall, Sarah Curry, Olivia Zaskoda, Olivia Yetter and Ainsley Moyer provided the goals for the Pioneers on Wednesday. Celeste Derstine chipped in with three assists.

CB WEST 3, QUAKE R TOWN 0» The Bucks won in straight sets on Thursday, taking home the victory 25-5, 2510 and 26-24. Leading the way for CB Wst were Mackenzie Lund (7 kills, 2 blocks), Alexis Barklage (3 kills, 3 blocks), Brie Livezey (3 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs, Maggie McCusker (2 kills, 7 digs, 13 assists), Jordyn Klementovi­ch (3 aces, 13 digs) and Sydney White (4 aces, 2 digs). SOUDERTON 3, DOCK 0 » The Indians swept the match on Thursday behind 14 kills, 4 digs and 10 aces from Alyssa Reiner. Also standing out for Souderton were McKenna Murawski (5 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces), Nikki Hamilton (14 assists, 7 digs, 3 aces) and Gwen Anderson (10 assists).
