Police still investigating shooting, believe victim was targeted
LANSDALE » Lansdale police and Montgomery County officials are still investigating a homicide that occurred at the intersection of Hancock Street and Church Road on Saturday night.
In a statement Wednesday, Lansdale police said they and homicide detectives from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office “continue their work to bring justice for Ebony Pack.”
“Currently, investigators believe the incident was not a random act but rather Pack was the intended target,” police said.
According to police and the DA’s office, just before 10 p.m. on Nov. 28 police were dispatched to a reported vehicle accident and shots fired in the area of East Hancock Street and Church Road. There, officers found a Nissan sedan at the intersection, driven by an Ebony Sequita Pack, 30, who had suffered several gunshot wounds.
The Nissan had several bullet strikes on the driver’s side door, and Pack was transported to Abington-Lansdale Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, according to police and the DA’s office.
An autopsy of Pack was completed earlier this week. “The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds, manner of death was homicide,” said Kate Delano, communications director for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Lansdale police said Wednesday that anyone with information regarding this homicide is asked to contact the department at 215-368-1801 or Montgomery County Detectives at 610-278-3368.
