Vaccine distribution facility completed

- By Gary Puleo

UPPER MERION >> The site of a once popular King of Prussia shopping destination at 250 Mall Blvd is suddenly back in the spotlight.

At the site of the former home of Toys R Us/Babies R Us workers for concert/ festival construction contractor Mountain Productions have built a facility that will hopefully serve as a coronavirus vaccine location at some point.

“These were Mountain Productions employees who helped assemble equipment that’s normally used at concerts, live music festivals, large gatherings and they used those resources and equipment to create this structure to administer vaccines,” explained Mountain Productions spokesman Ike Richman. “The work was finished on Monday.”

15toknow will handle the vaccine distribution but he didn’t know when that could happen, Richman said, adding that he’d heard but could not confirm that 15toKnow had been giving vaccines at the former Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in King of Prussia.

15toKnow is described on its website, 15toknow. com as “a rapid testing company operating on-demand, drive-through, and mobile in-place and mobile setup respiratory pathogens testing labs. Consumers, businesses, and institutions can choose when, why, and where to get tested. Easy, quick and affordable access to accurate respiratory pathogen testing will give the peace of mind needed to return to normal life.”

The company posted on its Facebook page, “We are currently on Phase 1a of the COVID-19 vaccination process which includes healthcare workers, people 65 and older, and people 18-64 with high-risk medical conditions. We only have limited stock available so if you are within this category you can sign up for our waiting list filing your request through our support URL: http://support.15toknow.com”
