Youth program adjusts to pandemic

-

>> Game nights, movie nights, escape rooms, miniature golf, go-karts, retreats, service projects, costume parties, scavenger hunts, and more are included in the Grace Baptist Church Student and Young Adult Program.

For two years, Brady Rennix, student and young adult pastor, has guided the students and young adults of Grace making learning about God and Jesus fun. “So honored, to be a part of all the great things at Grace Baptist Church of Blue Bell,” said Rennix. “I was born in New Jersey, grew up in Lancaster, PA and moved to Greater Philadelphia, right out of college. I have degrees from Lancaster Bible College and Missio Seminary. God has blessed me with a beautiful wife and four awesome kids. I am excited to be able to work with middle school, high school, and college students.

“My day is often spent at sports games and student events at Wissahickon, North Penn, Springfield, Colonial, and Phil-Mont Christian Academy. I also work with North American Mission Board at some local colleges like Montgomery County Community College and Delaware Valley University. For fun, I ride motorcycle, surf, snowboard and play soccer. The most important thing you need to know about me is that I love Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Soli Deo gloria.”

Here is what some members of the group say:

Audrey says, “Youth group has really made my life a lot better. I have known most of the other youth group members since I was a toddler, and that makes our meetings and discussions that much more fun. I have learned so much about God through youth group, and I am glad that I get to continue learning. I always look forward to Wednesday nights, because I get to hang out with some close friends and learn about God. “

Nate says, “My favorite thing about youth group is how everybody is very welcoming, and we get along very well. We play games and have lessons that are relatable to things going on today. If I have a rough day at school, I know that the stress will all go away when I walk into the trailer on Wednesday nights.”

The group is open to anyone from sixth to 12th grades. Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday and Youth Group is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The church is located at 437 W. Skippack Pike, Blue Bell.
