9, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 0 » Mady Volpe struck out 15 and went 3-for-4 with three RBIs as North Penn stayed undefeated with a shutout SOL Colonial victory Wednesday.

Carley DiGiuseppe was 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored while Sarah Sabocsik went 2-for-4 with two runs for the Knights (5-0, 4-0 division, which plated five runs in the second.

SOUDERTON 14, PENNRIDGE 4 (5) » Tied 4-4 after four innings, Souderton erupted for 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth to claim a five-inning SOL Colonial victory.

Abby Burns was 2-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs and also struck out eight in earning the win in the pitching circle for the Indians (5-2, 2-2). Riley York, who capped off the fifth with a two-run walkoff single, went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two run scored. Taylor Nelson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored.

Pennridge’s Mackenzie Owens tied the game 4-4 with a three-run home run in the fourth. Catelyn Thrush finished 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Rams (2-3, 1-3).

WISSAHICKO­N 6, UPPER DUBLIN 4 » Wissahicko­n broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the top of the fifth and held on to beat Upper Dublin for a SOL Liberty win.

Grace Franczyk was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Trojans (2-3, 2-1). Emma Clayborn finished 2-for-4 with an RBI at the plate and also struck out five in throwing a complete game. Katelyn Fitzgerald was 3-for-4 with a double and scored twice while Luca Penna went 2-for-4 with a double and run scored.

Avery Lennon’s two-RBI single pulled Upper Dublin (1-3, 1-3) level 2-2 in the second.

METHACTON 3, BOYERTOWN 0» Paige Deal struck out nine and allowed seven hits in tossing a shutout while Methacton scored twice in the sixth then added a run in the seventh to best Boyertown.

Avery Schwartz started the sixth with a single and came home on pinch hitter Caitlin Woolbert’s RBI single. Woolbert scored after an overthrow on an Deal infield hit. Caraline Newman hit an RBI single in the seventh. HATBORO-HORSHAM 4, QUAKERTOWN 1 » Kendal Leitner struck out 15 and also hit a home run in the bottom of the second while Hatboro-Horsham broke a 1-1 tie sixth by plating three runs to win the SOL Liberty matchup.

Kayla Tauber was 2-for-3 with double and gave the Hatters (3-0, 3-0) the lead for go with her RBI single. HH added two more runs in the sixth on an Amaya Lundy RBI double and Abby Waeltz RBI single.

For Quakertown (5-2, 3-1), Laura Morelock was 2-for-3 with two doubles while Mary Wilkinson went 2-for-3 with a run scored. BRISTOL 13, DOCK 2 (5) » Bristol built an 8-2 lead after four innings then scored five runs in the fifth to beat Dock Mennonite in the Bicentenni­al Athletic League contest.

Maggie Dowell and Jocelyn Pfleiger both hit doubles for Dock while Melissa Moyer, Anna Smith and Kaci Alderfer each had a single.

Baseball

WISSAHICKO­N 4, UPPER DUBLIN 1 » Ben Junker was 2-for-3 — hitting an RBI double in Wissahicko­ns’ three-run bottom of the first — and also pitched six innings as the Trojans won its fourth straight.

Junker allowed one run — earned — on four hits, walked two and struck out seven. Nate Vincent struck out two in picking up the save. Jackson Tappen scored twice for Wissahicko­n (4-3, 3-1 SOL Liberty).

Karan Acharya went 2-for-2 with a walk and double for Upper Dublin (0-6, 0-4 SOL Libery) while Nick Lombardo was 2-for-4.

CB WEST 4, CB EAST 1 » Cole Fehrman struck out 11 in a two-hit complete-game, Central Bucks West plated three runs to take a 4-0 lead in the third and handed Central Bucks its first loss.

Andrew Kohl solo home run gave the Bucks (24, 2-2 SOL Colonial) a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Kohl scored twice while James Carbone and Damien Thomas each had an RBI.

Jack Nugent hit a solo homer in the fourth for East (4-1, 2-1 SOL Colonial)

CB SOUTH 7, NORTH PENN 2 »

Colin Mitchell connected on a two-run home run in the fourth, Carter Hinds finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Central Bucks South topped North Penn for a SOL Colonial victory.

Steve Corrado had an RBI while Jeff Sabater and Sam Cohen each scored a run for the Knights (4-2, 2-2).

Robby Porco gave up one run — unearned — on three hits, walked three and struck out five in six innings for South (3-1, 2-1). South’s Owen Petrich hit a two-RBI single in the first.

BOYERTOWN 8, METHACTON 3» Methacton scored twice in the bottom of the third to tie the game 3-3 but Boyertown scored the final five runs - one each in the fifth and sixth, three in the seventh - to pull away from the Warriors.

Nolan McCloskey went 2-3 with a run scored for Methacton while Jake Maggio was 2-for-2.

PJP II 8, UPPER MERION 5 »

Dom Germanowic­z was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored while Gavin Feulner went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as Pope John Paul II topped Upper Merion.

DJ Clark scored twice for the Golden Panthers. Upper Merion’s Brad Zielinski and Oscar Brenes both went 3-for-3 with an RBI and run scored with Zielinski hitting a double.

QUAKERTOWN 10, HATBOROHOR­SHAM 7 » Quakertown scored seen runs in the bottom of the second, added another run in the third to go up 8-1 then held off Hatboro-Horsham for an SOL Liberty victory.

Trey Porter was 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored for the Hatters (2-5, 1-3), who brought home four runs in the fourth then scored twice in the top of the sixth to pull within 8-7. The Panthers, however, struck twice in the bottom of the inning to push the margin the three.

Quakertown’s Freddie Steinmetz went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored while Justin Butler collected three RBIs. HH’s Cole Fisher had a double and two RBIs.

Girls Lacrosse

SOUDERTON 17, BENSALEM Reiley Knize finished 6» with three goals and three assists, Ang Borisow added three goals and assist and Souderton rolled to an SOL National Conference win to stay undefeated.

Avery Farina had a goal and two assists, Caroline Kelly and Isabel John both scored twice and Peyton Clemmer collected two assists for the Indians (5-0, 3-0).

WISSAHICKO­N 13, LOWER MORELAND 1 » Abby DeGroat and Emma Baker both recorded three goals, an assist and six draw controls as Wissahicko­n stayed perfect with a SOL American victory.

Quinn Gaffey posted two goals and an assist while Chloe Lee scored twice for the Trojans (5-0, 1-0).

Maggie McGarry tallied the goal for Lower Moreland (1-3, 0-2).

UPPER MORELAND 17, CHELTENHAM 4 » Isabel Leiter had three goals and an assist, Regan Cummins chipped in two goals and two assists as Upper Moreland remained unbeaten with an SOL American win over Cheltenham.

Maddy Trzaska, Willow Taylor and Bre Knox all scored twice while Olivia Meakim had a goal and tree assists for the Golden Bears (4-0, 2-0).

Boys Lacrosse

NORTH PENN 13, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH » Dakari Luby scored three goals and also handed out an assist as North Penn shut out Plymouth Whitemarsh in the first half as it earned an SOL nonconfere­nce victory.

Lars Homan had two goals and two assists for the Knights (5-2, 2-1 SOL National), who led 7-0 at halftime. Ryan McCann and Ethan Spann both scored twice with Jake Dolan had two assists.

NORTH PENN 3, PENNRIDGE 1 » The Knights picked up the SOL American win Tuesday night. NP prevailed 25-19, 27-25, 19-25, 25-22.

Ryan Benscoter (21 kills, six digs, three aces), Tyler Johnson (seven kills, two blocks), Skyler Ammon (six kills, five digs), Thomas McKinney (five kills, six digs, three aces), Dan Detweiler (nine digs, three aces) and Riley Kodidek (34 assists) all contribute­d for Pennridge (42).
