Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, is hosting its 8th annual Yard Sale on June 26 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For vendors to participate, a $10 fee will provide a space large enough to park and set-up an 8-foot table. For an additional $5, a table will be provided. Vendors/sellers will keep all profit. Since there is no rain date, money will be returned if yard sale is cancelled. The Church of the Holy Spirit (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road, Upper Salford, is now resuming in-person Communion services at 8 and 10:15a.m. on Sundays, with COVID protocols requiring mask wearing and social distancing. The church will also continue to live-stream the 10:15a.m. Communion services on Sundays on their Facebook page — Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville. Compline services are being provided over Zoom at 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Services are led by the Rev. Kathy Andonian, Rector, assisted by staff, parish and choir members. St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211 S. Main St. North Wales, will have with a Zoom worship service at 9 a.m. by invitation. The theme for this Sunday is “Greater Love.” All are welcome to join us via Zoom. An outdoor service will be held in Weingartner Park at 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. Social distance and masks still recommended. Bring your own chairs. Weekly food drive is every Wednesday from 11-1. Drop off non-perishable food and household (laundry and hand soap, cleaning supplies and paper products) items in the designated pick up in our parking lot. The collection will be taken to Manna on Main Street or to New Creations Lutheran Church in Philadelphia.
Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, hosts Spring Virtual Mission Week from May 17–23. All activities will take place individually, or in homes, and donations will be dropped off at the church with appropriate masking and social distancing or collected through contactless pickup at your home. Each volunteer will be provided with the name and contact information of the coordinator of the activity, a description of the activity, including how it will be done virtually, and schedule of when the activity will take place. Opportunities are available to support the following local organizations: Caring for Friends — prepare and package meals for the frail homebound in your home; Hospital and Emergency Services Staff — donation and contactless delivery of fresh fruit, vegetable and pretzel trays to support local healthcare heroes; Keystone Opportunity Center — prepare donation bags of breakfast/ lunch items, personal care or cleaning supply items for needy families; Manna on Main Street — donate dinner food items for the hungry; Mitzvah Circle — Collect (instead of Collection of) summer clothing and shoes for men, women and children in need. With the accumulated economic, health and social impact of COVID-19, so many in our community are in need. We invite you to be a ray of sunshine and join us to help others through these service opportunities. Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, will begin summer outdoor pavilion services Sunday, May 23until September 26 at 9:30 a.m. Join us for joyful worship and singing, prayer, and inspiring preaching as well as adult, children’s, and youth Sunday schools. CDC recommended COVID guidelines will be followed, including distancing and wearing masks under the pavilion and indoors. The pavilion is located at the rear of the property.
