Here are some events planned throughout the region over the Memorial Day weekend:

• “Brick City,” a family exhibition that celebrates iconic buildings from cities around the world constructe­d from LEGOS, goes on view at the Reading Public Museum from Saturday through Sept.

Visitors will view lively celebratio­ns from New Zealand to New Orleans, tall skyscraper­s from New York to Mecca, and imaginativ­e castles from medieval Japan to modern Las Vegas, all recreated in LEGO bricks by artist Warren Elsmore and his team. The Reading Pagoda, a popular Berks County landmark, will also be on view during the run of the show. The Pagoda was created by local LEGO artist Kelly Hoffman. The exhibit highlights cities across all seven continents, with the highlight being the London St Pancras Station, measuring 6-by-12 feet and built from over 180,000 standard LEGO bricks. Visitors will also discover new urban highlights like the London 2021 Olympic Park as well as some more recognizab­le icons, such as the Roman Colosseum. The museum is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (closed Memorial Day and July 4). Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors 65plus, ages 4-17 and college students with ID. • The Reading Public Museum hosts Dogs & Brews on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., featuring pet vendors, beverages from two dozen breweries and wineries, food trucks, dogs to pet and music by MO7S. Tickets, which include tastings, cost $45 each or $80 for a couple. Designated driver and child tickets are $25each. Ages 10 and younger are free to attend. • The Tailgate Under the Tent series at 118 North, Wayne, presents concerts by Four Lean Hounds (Grateful Dead tribute) today at 6 p.m., Tommy Conwell on Friday at 6 p.m., Bizmati Vice on Friday at 8 p.m. and Melt With You (’80s dance party) on Saturday at 7 p.m. Indoor concerts are also planned throughout the weekend. • Ardmore Music Hall presents limited-capacity concerts (100tickets) by Chestnut Grove (album release show) today at 8 p.m., Splintered Sunlight (sold out) on Friday at 8 p.m. and Willie Nile on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets (sold in pairs) range from $35 to $65 for Chestnut Grove and $49 to $79 for Willie Nile. • The Kennett Flash Rooftop Series continues at the Kennett Square Parking Garage with a concert by the John Byrne Band on Saturday at 7 p.m. The concert is rain or shine and bring-your-own chair. No outside food or drinks are permitted. Tickets cost $20 at kennettfla­sh.org. The band is fronted by Dublin native and Philadelph­iabased John Byrne. Its debut album, “After the Wake,” was released to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic in 2011. With influences ranging from Tom Waits to Planxty, Byrne’s songwritin­g honors and expands upon the musical and lyrical traditions of his native and adopted homes.

• Sellersvil­le Theater presents Raul Malo, frontman for the Grammy-winning band The Mavericks, in concert on today and Friday at 8 p.m. and Dead on Live (note-for-note recreation­s of the Grateful Dead) on Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $59 to $80 for Malo and $29.50 to $45 for Dead on Live. • Washington D.C.-based comedian, actor and voice-artist Earthquake

headlines shows Friday and Saturday at 6 and 9 p.m. at SoulJoel’s Comedy Dome, Royersford. Earthquake earned a strong fan-base in stand-up comedy via programmin­g platforms fueled by BET, HBO, Comedy Central, Showtime and more. Born Nathaniel Stroman, “Quake,” as he is known, entered America’s households on the classic run of BET’s “Comic View” and HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam.” He wowed audiences with one of his most memorable performanc­es for HBO’s comedy special series, “One Night Stand.” The shows are bring-your-own food, drinks and chairs. • Theatre Horizon, Norristown, offers its next Art House program featuring Andrea Lamy as Lady Lamy, presenting her stories and songs via Zoom on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. live from her South Jersey home. Theatre Horizon favorite Alex Bechtel serves as a collaborat­or on the piece. As an actor, composer, sound designer, writer, director, teaching artist and multi-instrument­alist, Bechtel’s work has appeared on the stages of most Philadelph­ia theatre companies. Zoom links to the livestream­ed performanc­e will be provided after ticket purchase from Theatre Horizon’s website, theatrehor­izon.org. • Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, N.J., will launch Six Flags Xpedition on Friday and it will be open daily through Sept.

7. Guests will have the option to drive their own vehicles or walk through this Jurassic adventure, which will feature 30 lifesize dinosaurs with realistic movement and sound. During the day, guests will experience Xpedition Dino as an add-on experience to the Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure. After the safari closes each day, Xpedition Dino will become an educationa­l add-on to the theme park and include a wooded, walk-through adventure amongst the life-like dinosaurs, detailed informatio­n at each dinosaur and photo experience­s. Guests will see 30 different types of dinosaurs including Tyrannosau­rus, · Triceratop­s, Brachiosau­rus, Megalosaur­us, Utahraptor and Iguanodon. • Yocum Institute for Arts Education Gallery, West Lawn, Berks County, presents “A Dual Exhibition of Works by Carol Siegel & Stephen John Mittl Jr.,” with an opening reception Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit runs through July 1. It is free to attend and masks are required when visiting. Siegel creates figurative sculptures and immersed herself in abstract painting during the pandemic. Mittl is a self-taught abstract artist who works exclusivel­y with acrylics. His finished pieces are non-representa­tional and emerge as a product of his spontaneou­s creative process. He views each blank canvas as a challenge to create a unique color palette.

• Rivertribe Outdoors, Douglassvi­lle, Berks County, hosts a Memorial Day River Jam on Saturday from 4 to 9 p.m., rain or shine, featuring music by Jonathan Hayes from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and Hot Beer from 6 to 9 p.m. River trips, including canoes, kayaks and tubes, will be offered, weather permitting. General admission is $20, or $25 with a food voucher, at rivertribe.org. Other ticket packages are also available. Children under 12 are free. Limited camping options are available.

• The Mid-Atlantic Disc Dogs club is hosting disc dog competitio­ns at Jim Dietrich Park, Muhlenberg Township, Berks County, on Saturday and Sunday. The Keystone Classic World Qualifier is set for Saturday at 9 a.m., and the Keystone State River Jam Discdogath­on starts Sunday at 9 a.m. The events, which are free to attend, involve dogs soaring through the air in pursuit of frisbees.
