Doris (Steckel) Heilemann

Doris (Steckel) Heilemann, 91, formerly of Skippack, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville. She was the wife of the late Harold B. Heilemann, with whom she celebrated 63 years of marriage. Prior to his death in 2016, Doris and her husband loved traveling and had visited all 50 states, plus many foreign countries.

Doris was born on January 18, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Clark and Edith (Brown) Steckel. Although she grew up in Philadelphia, she spent much of her time with her grandparents in Parryville, PA.

After graduating from Germantown High School in 1947, she worked for the Bell Telephone Company in the financial department. She retired early and spent the rest of her days doing volunteer work for North Penn hospital, Trinity Lutheran Church and various other organizations. After she was married, and before moving to Rockhill Community, she and her husband lived many years in the Skippack community and were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansdale.

Doris is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 3PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 W. Main Street, Lansdale, PA 19446, where friends may greet the family after the memorial service.
