Hiking Ministry has returned at

Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale. Continuing each month on the last Saturday of the month through October, the group will meet at the church at 8:15 a.m. and return by 11 a.m. The hikes are about 4 miles in length and there is a short devotional at the halfway point. Different trails are taken each month which all are no more than 30minutes from the church. The hike is open to anyone who would like to join and would like to get some exercise, fresh air, companions­hip and get closer to God and his creation. Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church

is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, August 10, from 2 to 7 p.m. With the ongoing pandemic, many usual Red Cross collection sites have been closed. In part, this has created a critical supply shortage of blood donations. It is best to make an appointmen­t but the Red Cross will take walk-ins if not too busy. They are asking people who feel ill in any way not to donate blood. Face masks must be worn and temperatur­es will be taken at sign in. Please contact blood drive coordinato­r, Jennifer Clements-Rhoads at (215) 661-1300 to make an appointmen­t. Please consider donating blood.

St. John’s United Church of Christ, 500 W. Main St., Lansdale, continues to hold in-person worship in the church sanctuary.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 211 S. Main Street, North Wales celebrates Sunday, July 25th with an outdoor Communion service in the side yard at 9:30 a.m. Bring your own chairs. Weekly food collection is for New Creations Lutheran Church in Philadelph­ia on Wednesday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church parking lot. St. Peter’s Thrift Shop is open Saturdays July 24 and 31 from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations are also accepted at those times.

The Church of the Holy Spirit (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road, Upper Salford, holds in-person Communion services at 8and 10:15 a.m. on Sundays, with COVID protocols and masks for those not vaccinated. The church continues to live-stream the 10:15a.m. Communion services on Sundays on their Facebook page — Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysvil­le. Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, will continue summer outdoor pavilion services at 9:30 a.m. until September 26.
