GMA beats Conwell-Egan in 2OT

GWYNEDD MERCY ACADEMY 2, CONWELL-EGAN 1 >> Riley Morris scored in double overtime to lift the Monarchs to a nonleague win over Conwell-Egan Tuesday afternoon.

GMA generated plenty of scoring opportunit­ies in the win, totaling 31 shots compared to eight for ConwellEga­n.

Halle Coller gave the Monarchs a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute, but ConwellEga­n quickly scored the equalizer when Maxi Ellison found the back of the net eight minutes later.

Morris’ 97th-minute game-winner came after nearly 70 scoreless minutes.

GMA keeper Lynley Koschineg made three saves while Jessica Gentile stopped 14 shots for Conwell-Egan.

Dock Mennonite 8, Calvary Christian 2 >> Ashley Lapp scored three goals in the Pioneers’ BAL win over

Calvary Christian Tuesday.

Lapp scored two goals in the first six minutes and added her third before halftime.

Emma Kratz finished with two goals for Dock.

Boys soccer

SOUDERTON 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0 >> Three different Souderton plays scored in its nonleague win over the Crusaders Tuesday.

Ty Quintois scored the game-winner in the eighth minute while Dillon Barbieri and Joe Sirchia added goals in the first five minutes of the second half.

Aidan McClure made two saves in goal for the Indians.

UPPER PERK 2, POPE JOHN PAUL II 1 >> The Golden Panthers dropped a PAC Frontier game against the Indians in double overtime Tuesday.

Matthew Fisher scored the game-winner for Upper Perk with just over a minute left in the second overtime.

Ben Rubinich scored for PJP and keeper Jason Krum made eight saves.

Girls volleyball

POPE JOHN PAUL II 3, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 >> The Golden Panthers swept the Patriots 25-12, 25-16 and 2517 Tuesday.

Cathleen McKendry had 11 kills for PJP while Hutton Cordrey added four kills and eight aces and Natalie Rivevuto had four kills.

Erin Dychdala tallied 20 assists while Grace Cooper had 13 digs, Cindy Jin six digs and five aces and Gabby Cooper six digs. SOUDERTON 3, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 0 >> Souderton picked up a nonleague win Tuesday, sweeping Lansdale Catholic.

Indians’ Alyssa Reiner had four aces, 15 kills and one block. Alexa Mazzeo added 10 digs while Alli Sauerwald had four aces, three kills and four digs, Teya McConaha four kills, three blocks and three digs and Nikki Hamilton one ace, four digs and 24 assists.

Golf

METHACTON 195, BOYERTOWN 206 >> Matt Rieger led Methacton with a 37 in a PAC win over Boyertown Tuesday.

EJ Meyer and Colin Meyer joined Rieger in the 30s, shooting 38 and 39, respective­ly.

Devon Charles shot a 40 and Mike Liu 41 to round out the top five for the Warriors.

Field hockey

DOCK MENNONITE 8, BRISTOL 0 >> Eden Schrag scored three goals in the first half to lead the Pioneers to a BAL win Tuesday.

Schrag’s hat trick was more than enough for Dock in a game where it didn’t allow Bristol to put a single shot on goal.

Olivia Zaskoda added two goals in the second half. POTTSGROVE 6, LANSDALE CATHOLIC 1 >> Kayla Mullen scored to help the Crusaders avoid a shutout in a nonleague loss against the Falcons Tuesday.
