North Penn golf earns win over Pennridge

Justin Pileggi carded a 37 to pace North Penn as the Knights earned an SOL Colonial Division victory over Pennridge Wednesday.

Hayley Ekert chipped in a 38 for NP while Josh Kim collected a 39.

OJR 194, METHACTON 198 >> Mikel Liu led Methacton with a 36 as the Warriors lost to Owen J. Roberts Wednesday.

EJ Meyer and Colin Meyer shot 38 and 39, respective­ly for the Warriors. OJR’s Stefan Fedun shot a match-low 35 while Victor Mominey had a 39.

PHOENIXVIL­LE 223, UPPER MERION 234 >> Ryan Siegrist’s 42 led Upper Merion as the Vikings lost a PAC match to Phoenixvil­le Wednesday.

The Phantoms’ Ryan Jasudowich

finished with a 37.

Boys Soccer

DOCK 1, TCA 1 >> John O’Donnell pulled Dock Mennonite level on a second-half goal assisted by Nolan Vaszily as the Pioneers and The Christian Academy played to a 1-1 draw Wednesday.

Braden Churches made four saves for Dock PHOENIXVIL­LE 3, PJP II >> Dylan Russ had six saves for Pope John Paul II as it lost Wednesday’s PAC Frontier contest.

Girls Volleyball

DOWNINGTOW­N WEST 3, METHACTON 1 >> Kayla Ginther had 10 kills and three aces while Meg Haftl finished with 25 assists and six aces as Methacton won Wednesday’s first game but Downingtow­n East came back to take the next three to win the nonleague match 18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21.

Mandy Baldwin made 25 digs for the Warriors (1-1).

Field Hockey

UPPER PERK 6, PJP II 0 >> Pope John Paul II goalie Gianna Manza had eight saves while the Golden Panthers’ Lauren Kent and Marissa Memmo each had a defensive loss in Wednesday’s loss to Upper Perkiomen.

Boys Cross Country

SOUDERTON SPLITS WITH PV, SPRING-FORD >> Manny Rota-Talarico paced Souderton with a four-place finishing time of 18:26 as the Indians split Wednesday’s tri-meet against Perkiomen Valley and SpringFord — besting PV 26-29 while falling to the Rams 21-26.

Spring-Ford’s Quinn Smith took first in 17:14 while Perk Valley’s Thomas Bricker was second in 17:19. Spring-Ford defeated the Vikings 19-40.

Girls Cross Country

SOUDERTON FALLS TO PV, SPRING-FORD >> Francie Flores’ fifth-place finish in 21:02 led Souderton as the Indians lost to Perk Valley (17-48) and Spring-Ford (25-30) in Wednesday’s trimeet.

Perk Valley, which defeated Spring-Ford 15-50, had the top three finishers with Summer Watts taking first in 20:17.

Girls Tennis

PHOENIXVIL­LE 4, PJP II 3 >> Pope John Paul II’s Tess Crossan earned a 6-4, 6-0 victory at first singles while the Golden Panthers also won first and second doubles as they were edged by Phoenixvil­le in Wednesday’s PAC match.
