WISSAHICKO­N 8, HATBOROHOR­SHAM 0 >> Riley Ball recorded a hat trick while Brynne Miller had a goal and three assists as Wissahicko­n rolled to an SOL Liberty Division win Thursday.

Kendall Crowley collected two goals for the Trojans (2-0-0, 1-0-0), who scored three times in both the second and third quarters.

Audrey Walsh and Caroline Kirkpatric­k each added a goal for Wiss while Julia Schools, Kayla Pak, Kate Lovensheim­er, Ella Hummel and Avery Mullin all registered an assist.

PW 1, QUAKERTOWN 0 >> Hailey Copestick scored the lone goal as visiting Plymouth Whitemarsh began its season with a shutout SOL Liberty victory.

Goalie Rosalie Montemayor made six saves while Carley McGee had a defensive save for the Colonials.

ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 3,

GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 1 >> Lydia Malone scored both of her two goals in the second half as Archbishop Carroll earned a nonleague win over Germantown Academy.

Sienna Golden had two assists, Cate McConaghy added a goal and goalkeeper Reilly McMenamin made 10 saves for Carroll. Courtland Schumacher collected an assist.

Bri O’Hara scored for GA while goalie Madison DeStefano had three saves.

DOCK MENNONITE 8, MORRISVILL­E 0 >> Olivia Zaskoda’s two goals came as Dock Mennonite found the back of the cage seven times in the first quarter in cruising to a Bicentenni­al Athletic League win.

Celeste Derstine had a goal and an assist for the Pioneers (2-0-0, 2-0-0 league).

Tiffany Oponski, Eden Schrag, Ainsley Moyer, Sadie Bernd and Brooke Hondros each had a goal while Olivia Veltre collected an assist.

LOWER MORELAND 3, UPPER MORELAND 0 >> Liz Neeld had two goals, scoring in the first and third quarters as the visiting Lions shut out Upper Moreland for an SOL Freedom Division win.

Meredith Lutter registered a goal and an assist, goalkeeper Sarah Rosala had eight saves while Kathleen Chen made five defensive saves for Lower Moreland (2-0-0, 1-0-0).

Goalie Emma Hurley had 15 saves for the Golden Bears (0-2-0, 0-1-0).

NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 1,

SPRINGFIEL­D (MONTCO) 0 >> Kate Thistlewai­t scored on a first quarter penalty stroke and that ended up being the lone goal as New Hope-Solebury earned an SOL Freedom Division win in the season opener for both teams.

Erin Roy made two saves for Springfiel­d (0-1-0, 0-1-0), which also got solid efforts from Annie Coll and Emma Yoder.

Boys Soccer

HATBORO-HORSHAM 5, WISSAHICKO­N 0 >> Tommy Harmon had two assists and Hatboro-Horsham scored four goals in the second half to start its season with an SOL Liberty victory.

Anthony Pumilia put the Hatters ahead in the 31st minute while HH went up 2-0 early in the second half when Nathan Scavo found the back of the net at the 46th minute.

Jack Elwell scored in the 66th with Lucas Howieson and JR Fulginiti adding goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes, respective­ly.

Jake Freedom and Mason DeLuca each had an assist for the Hatters while goalie Noah Schlosser had four saves.

SOUDERTON 2, CB SOUTH 2 >> Souderton’s Thomas Smith headed in a Nolan Hughes corner kick in the 60th minute to tie the SOL Colonial contest at 2-2 as the Indians and Central Bucks South went on to finish in a draw.

Aidan McClure made 13 saves for Souderton while Hughes scored on a free kick to give Big Red a 1-0 lead. South struck for goals in the 20th and 21st minutes to go up 2-1.

SPRINGFIEL­D (MONTCO) 5, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 3 >> Riley Martin scored twice and assisted on two more goals as Springfiel­d overcame a hat trick from New HopeSolebu­ry’s Jake Hausner to earn an SOL Freedom win.

Peter Schmidt finished with a goal and two assists for the Spartans. Grant Williams and Jack McKittrick each had a goal while Tommy Bailey recorded an assist.

Girls Soccer

NORTH PENN 2, CB WEST 0 >> Lauren Blanch scored twice in the first half — Kylie Holmes with the assist on the first tally — and North Penn claimed a shutout SOL Colonial Division win.

GMA 2, NAZARETH ACADEMY 2 >> Gwynedd Mercy rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to earn an AACA draw with visiting Nazareth Academy.

Riley Morris pulled the Monarchs (2-0-1, 0-0-1 league) to within 2-1 in the 55th minute while Keira Cassidy’s tally off a Kat Pluck assist leveled the contest in the 64th minute.

GMA keeper Ellie Verrill had six saves.

ABINGTON 1, UPPER DUBLIN 0 >> Lily Gray scored off a ball sent into the 18-yard box by Maura Day as Abington earned its first win in the SOL Liberty Division matchup.

QUAKERTOWN 2, PW 0 >> Quakertown scored a goal in each half to claim a SOL Liberty Division win. Plymouth Whitemarsh sophomore goalkeeper Caitlyn Dinh had 12 saves.

CB SOUTH 3, SOUDERTON 0 >> Visiting Central Bucks South scored all three of its goals in the first half to win the SOL Colonial Division contest.

UPPER MORELAND 1, LOWER MORELAND 0 >> Emma Frasca scored at 71:39 off a Brooke Lobban assist while goalie Natalie Walton made four saves as Upper Moreland shut out Lower Moreland for an SOL Freedom win.

PERK VALLEY 11, NORRISTOWN 0 >> Perkiomen Valley’s Kieran Cabot collected a hat trick while NicoleBott­omlye-Lytle and Lily Tremba both had a goal and three assists in the Vikings’ PAC Liberty win over Norristown.

DOCK 7, MAST 0 >> Abby Brown scored two goals as the Pioneers won big in a BAL contest on Thursday. Billinda Leisner, Megan Wenzel, Clara benner, Kenzie Derstine and Ashley Lapp also scored for Dock.

Girls Volleyball

SOUDERTON 3, QUAKERTOWN 0 >> Alexa Mazzeo had nine aces and six digs while Nikki Hamilton collected 12 assists and four aces as Souderton swept Quakertown.

Teya McConaha had five kills and a block for the Indians. Alli Suerwald finished with four aces, four kills and four digs with Lauren Vince having three kills, three digs and a block.

Girls Cross Country

NORTH PENN 22, WISSAHICKO­N 39 >> North Penn’s Ava Warner finished first while teammate Laura Leibiger took third as the Knights claimed a dual meet win over host Wissahicko­n.

Leah Dubin placed second to pace the Trojans.

Golf

PJP II 221, UPPER MERION 244 >> Pope John Paul II’s Alex White and Aiden Canning both shot a match-low 40 as the Golden Panthers picked up a PAC victory.

RJ Monroe carded a 45 to lead Upper Merion. HATBORO-HORSHAM 202, PW 215 >> Hatboro-Horsham’s Justin Chong led all golfers with a 35 as the Hatters won the SOL Liberty match.

Evan Rosenstein shot a 36 for Plymouth Whitemarsh. Dylan Henry added a 37 for HH.

DOCK 243, RENAISSANC­E ACADEMY 335 >> Thursday was a great day for golf and a strong showing by the Dock golf team. It was exciting for the team to have some “firsts” during this match. Freshman Zeke Longacre carded his best round to date for his first season with a 52. Brian Dorneman scored a great par on a difficult par 3 and Rickey Bevilacqua started his first match and improved through the round. Ty Derstein paced the Pioneers with a 44.

Girls Golf

METHACTON 198, HATBOROHOR­SHAM 210 >> Methacton’s Sarah Lawrie shot a matchbest 41 at Skippack Golf Course while Kate Thomas carded a 50 as the Warriors picked up a PAC win.

Hatboro-Horsham was led by Sammy Fuchs’ 46.

Girls Tennis

PJP II 7, POTTSGROVE >> Mia DelMoro earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at second singles as Pope John Paul II swept Pottsgrove for a PAC victory.
