William “Bill” Cecil Fox

-

William “Bill” Cecil Fox, of Yardley, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2021 after reaching the age of 86 years old.

Bill was born on January 19, 1935 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania to Marvin and Martha Fox (nee Mohney). As a young man, Bill moved to Bucks County to work for US Steel and soon after met and married Irene Tettemer of Morrisville. Bill and Irene moved to Fairway Drive in Yardley, where they raised their three children.

After the passing of his first wife, Irene, and his retirement from US Steel, he met and married his second wife, Jean, and opened several small businesses, including the still thriving Garden of Eatin’ in Levittown, PA and a lunch truck that served the Temple University Community.

Bill and Jean sold their businesses and moved to Fort Myers, Florida, and later to Pinehurst, North Carolina. As much as he loved southern weather, he was seemingly always in his van traveling north to be in attendance for the countless sporting events, graduations, weddings, and life milestones of his seven beloved grandchildren.

Eventually, Bill returned to Bucks County to be with his family, settling on the Delaware River in the heart of Bristol Borough. While Bill made a home and lifelong friends everywhere he lived, spending several of his final years in Bristol was a highlight for him. The small town offered the opportunity to spend his days doing his favorite things, including being with his children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren, taking long walks, watching the river tide ebb and flow, viewing Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers games on local channels, and enjoying the coastal migration of several species of birds.

Bill (“Gramps”) was the strong patriarch of his family. He was a proud, hardworking, and honest man, and worked diligently to pass those virtues onto his greatest legacy, his “Fox Nation” including three children, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Martha Fox, his wife, Irene Tettemer Fox, his wife, Jean Fox, and his brother,

Marvin Fox (Jackie). “Gramps” is survived by his loving children, Debbie Ayres (Carl), Bill Fox (Caroline), and Patti Ebert (Bob), his grandchildren, Joshua DiToro (Charlena), Daniel Fox (Gina), Jessica

Fox-Dobra (Bobby), Jeffrey Ebert (Theresa), Caity DeMaio (Mike), Alissa Rogachenko (Kyle), and Kevin Ebert (Nathashya), his great-grandchildren, Gianna, Patrick, Ava, Olivia, Caleb, Daniella, Blake, Francesca, Clara, Michael, Emma, Cole, and Dean, his brotherin-law, Wayne Tettemer (Linda), and his niece, Jan Fox-Moore (Tres).

Private services are planned for immediate family.
