North Penn boys bowling sets school record in sweep of PW

NORTH PENN 4, PW 0 » North Penn broke a school threegame series record of 3,262 with games of 1,067, 1,055 and 1,140 as the Knights swept Plymouth Whitemarsh Wednesday at Our Town Alley.

Lucas Francis had a 761 series with games of 267, 236 and 258 to pace North Penn, which bested the previous school mark of 3,160 set in 2018-2019. The Knights’ Vincent Qian (493), Tyler Johnson (629), Naman Parikh (683) and Ryan Baker (696) all bowled career high series while Johnson (237), Baker (258) and Parikh (268) each posted career-best games.

Jack Procaccino led Plymouth Whitemarsh with a 646 series, bowling games of 218, 192 and 236. DOCK 2, MORRISVILL­E » Dock Mennonite’s Zeke Longacre bowled a 177 in the first game and 165 in the third game as the Pioneers split with Morrisvill­e Tuesday.

PW 4, NORTH PENN 0 » Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Gabby Munsey recorded a matchhigh 501 series Wednesday at Our Town Alley, bowling games of 167, 165 and 169 as the Colonial swept North Penn.

Seoyeon Lee led the Knights, posting a 366 series with games of 125, 131

and 110.

MORRISVILL­E 4, DOCK 0 » Dock Mennonite’s Maggie Dowell had a match-high 170 as the Pioneers were swept by Morrisvill­e Tuesday.

SOUDERTON 53, PERK VALLEY 37 » Casey Harter scored a game-high 22 points - going 9-of-13 from the field - and dished out five assists as Souderton pulled away in the fourth to earn a nonleague victory.

Teya McConnaha added nine points and eight rebounds, Brooke Fenchel had nine points while Erin Bohmueller collected six points, five assists and two blocks for the Indians (3-1, 1-0 SOL Colonial), who led 28-22 after three quarters then outscored the Vikings 15-5 in the fourth.

Grace Miley finished with 13 points for Perk valley (2-1).

ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 45, NOTRE DAME 41 (OT) » Taylor Wilson’s two free throws late in the fourth sent the game into overtime while Brooke Wilson had six points as Archbishop Carroll outscored Academy Notre Dame 9-5 in the extra session to win the nonleague matchup.

Taylor Wilson paced the Patriots (2-1) with 18 points and grabbed six rebounds while Brooke Wilson finished with 16 points and nine rebounds.

Maeve McErlane scored a game-high 22 points for Notre Dame (4-2, 1-0 InterAc).

SOUDERTON 48, PERK VALLEY 37 » Paul Vince led a balanced Souderton offense with 10 points as the Indians topped Perkiomen Valley for a nonleague win.

Jay Bonnet scored nine points for Big Red (3-1, 0-1 SOL Colonial). Aleks Smith and Levi John both finished with seven points while Carson Grant and James Blair each chipped in six points.

PJP II 59, CHURCH FARM SCHOOL (58) » Kevin Green collected seven of his 19 points in overtime as Pope John Paul II improved to 3-0 overall by edging Church Farm School.

JP Baron knocked down five 3-pointers in scoring a game-high 24 points for the Golden Panthers, who rallied to tie contest the contest 45-45 at the end of regulation after trailing 33-31 through three quarters.

Girls Swimming WISSAHICKO­N 114, WILLIAM TENNENT 71 »

Sarah Pickel swam a District 1 considerat­ion cut time in winning the 100 free, also won the 200 and was also on Wissahicko­n’s first-place 200 free and 400 free relays as the Trojans began their season by defeating William Tennent.

Wissahicko­n won every event at the dual meet, sweeping the top three finishes in two events.

Regan Santoro posted a district considerat­ion score in winning diving while Bernice Fu was first in the 200 individual medley and 100 back and swam on the winning 200 medley and 400 free relays.

UPPER MERION 107, POPE JOHN PAUL II 75 » Upper Merion’s Emily Burke, Lindsey Yuen and Abby Yuen all won two individual events as the Vikings were victorious in Tuesday’s PAC dual meet.

Burke took first in the 200 individual medley (2:22.98) and 100 breast (1:13.29), Lindsay Yuen won the 50 free (26.01) and 500 free (5:41.16) while Abby Yuen had the top time in the 100 free (1:02.06) and 100 back (1:07.98).

Maria Souder won the 100 butterfly for Pope John Paul II with a time of 1:14.78.

UPPER MERION 95, PJP II 60 » Upper Merion’s Jack Larkin took first in both the 200 free (1:51.23) and 500 free (5:05.30) while Luca Baicoianu added wins in the 50 free (23.86) and 100 free (53.76) as the Vikings bested Pope John Paul II in Tuesday’s PAC dual meet.

The Golden Panthers’ Henry Phillips claimed wins in both the 200 individual medley (2:04.90) and 100 butterfly (55.21).
