Francis bowls first 300 game for North Penn

NP SPLITS WITH HATBORO

Lucas Francis of North Penn rolled a perfect 300 game and added a 790 three-game series in setting two new school records for the Knights in a 4-0 sweep of HatboroHor­sham on Monday at Thunderbir­d Lanes. Francis is the first NP bowler to roll a perfect 300 game in a school career. The night started out great for him as he just missed a perfect first game with a 279, while Naman Parikh was right behind him with a 249.

Parikh also rolled a 254 and a 199 in a 702 series of his own. Ryan Baker also added a 573 series. Jacob Hunsicker of the Hatters rolled his own career high game and series with a 242213-221 for a 676 series. Mason Rash added a 194 game in his third game.

In the girls match, the Lady Hatters swept the Knights 4-0. The Hatters were led by the anchor bowler Liberty Pancoast with a 401 series. Teammate Riley McGuire led the team high game of 162. The Knights high bowler of the evening was Emily Yun with a 287 series.

On Saturday the Lancaster Snowroller bowling tournament was held at Leisure lanes in Lancaster whish consisted of 36 boys teams. The North Penn boys placed in third behind Cumberland Valley and SpringFord. The Knights won the first round of the rolloffs but were eliminated in the semifinal round against SpringFord.

Francis earned a second place all star ward for rolling a 701 threegame series.

Tyler Johnson added a 220-178-234-632 series, while Naman Parikh rolled a 190-266-170-626 series.

Boys basketball

NORRISTOWN 65, INTERBORO 39 » The Eagles outscored their opponents in every quarter and picked up the nonconfere­nce win on Monday. Ten players scored for Norristown led by 14 from Alex DiMichele, while John Dinolfi added 11.

Wrestling NP AT XCALIBUR TOURNAMENT

» The Knights had several wrestlers perform well at the Xcalibur Tournament this weekend. William Morrow took third at 160, going 4-1 on the day including winning his third-place bout 9-3 over Malvern Prep’s Nick Wehmeyer. Dylan Reinhard took fourth for NP at at 126, going 4-2. He was pinned in the third-place bout by Michael Campanaro of West Morris Central in 2:21. Michael Cliver added a fifth-place finish at 145, going 5-2 on the day.
