Twersky leads Trojans past Quakertown

WISSAHICKO­N 61, QUAKERTOWN 42 » Senior forward Josh Twersky paced Wissahicko­n with 23 points and 7 assists as the Trojans picked up the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Twersky scored 14 of his game-high 23 points in the first half when the Trojans raced out to a 34-15 halftime advantage. Dom Vacchiano added 18 points as Wiss improved to 3-2 overall, 2-1 in the Liberty. Ty Wilkin paced Quakertown with nine points.

The Trojans will next host New Hope-Solebury on Thursday.

POPE JOHN PAUL II 51, UPPER PERK 34 » JD Baron scored 14 of his game-high 23 points in the first half as the Golden Panthers raced out to a 27-11 lead and coasted to the PAC win on Tuesday. Jaden Workman chipped in with 14 points for PJP II.

UPPER MERION 59, POTTSTOWN » The Vikings picked up their first win in two years behind a Olivia Smith’s 13 points and 15 rebounds. Smith scored 9 of her 13 points in the first quarter when the Vikings jumped out to a 15-6 lead. Riley Anderson added 12 points, while Devon Maiden chipped in with 10.

UPPER MERION 94, METHACTON 85 » Jack Larkin had a big day as the Vikings picked up the PAC win on Tuesday. Larkin took home first-place finishes in the 200 free (1:51.85) and 500 free (5:05.72). Methacton was led by Dylan Phan who took first in the 200 IM (2:11.59) and 100 breast (1:03.38), while Tommy

Gibbs took first in the 50 free (22.88) and 100 fly (53.37). Christophe­r Groff also had first-place finishes in the 100 free (51.73) and 100 back (57.43) for Methacton.

Girls Swimming METHACTON 98, UPPER MERION

88 » Madison Wimmer took first place finishes in the 50 free (26.29) and 500 free (5:33.67) as the Warriors picked up the win on Tuesday. Emily Burke paced Upper Merion with first-place showings in the 200 IM (2:23.98) and 100 fly (1:05.14).
