Francis T. Dinan, Sr. “Tim”

Francis T. Dinan, Sr., “Tim,” age 82, died peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021 after a long illness. He was the husband of Joan A. (Wlotko) Dinan. He was the son of the late John J. Dinan, Sr. and Anna R. Dinan. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School, Class of’ ‘57 and the Eckels School of Mortuary Science. Tim was a funeral director for over 60 years and was owner of the Dinan Funeral Home in the Spring Garden Section of Phila., PA and the Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home in Lansdale, PA.. He was the father of 4 children: Tim, Jr. (Alison), Christopher (Karen), Charles (Kerri) and Joan Marie Spina (Nick), and proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother John, Jr. and his sister Margaret Mary. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia (Dave), Bernadine (John, dec.) and his brother James (Kathy). There will be a viewing in the Shelly-Dinan Funeral Home, 24 E. Main Street, Lansdale, PA from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022. Additional Viewing and Mass will be held in the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter & Paul (Main Church), 18th and the Parkway, Phila., PA. 19103 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Phila., PA. In lieu of flowers donations in Tim’s name should be made to the Holy Spirit Adoration Nuns (Pink Nuns), 2212 Green St., Phila., PA 19130.
