St. Luke’s UCC, 125 N. Main St., North Wales: Holy Week services include Palm Sunday, 10 a.m. worship, traditiona­l music and distributi­on of the palms; Palm Sunday Organ and Harp Recital at 3 p.m., free to the public, with Aaron Patterson, organ, and Joan Steinberg, harp. Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church, 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, invites the community to attend Holy Week worship services in person or online, as follows: We remember Christ’s joyous arrival in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, April 10at our 10 a.m. worship service. Palm fronds and palm crosses will be available. A celebrator­y brunch will be at 11a.m. in fellowship hall. Grace Lutheran Church, 40N. Main St., Hatfield, and Pastor Nancy M. Raabe continue midweek Lenten prayer services, “Pray for Peace,” Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. through April 6. Open to the community, they include readings from scripture and contempora­ry literature and sung prayers from the Lutheran and Ukrainian Orthodox traditions. Prepare for Easter by joining in the drama of Holy Week services at Grace. At noon and 7:30p.m. on April 14, traditiona­l Maundy Thursday services will be held with footwashin­g and Holy Communion, concluding with the dramatic stripping of the altar. On Good Friday, services at noon and 7:30p.m. include the Procession of the Cross, the traditiona­l bidding prayers, and the powerful Solemn Reproaches. Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 1101 Cowpath Road, Hatfield, will hold a Maundy Thursday Service, April 14, at 6:30p.m., serving the traditiona­l soup and bread meal, followed by communion, Easter related gospel passages and hymns. Main St., Lansdale: Holy Week services are as follows: Palm Sunday, April 10 — United Adult Sunday School 9 a.m.; Worship Services 8and 10:15 a.m. with distributi­on of palms; Artist Series Concert, 4p.m., featuring Seven Last Words by Michael John Trotta, St. John’s Chancel Choir and Friends, and Special Guests. Maundy Thursday, April 14 — 7:30 pm Tenebrae with Communion. This service focuses on the events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixio­n and concludes with the sanctuary in total darkness. Communion is shared in the midst of this service. April 14-15 — Prayer Vigil begins on Maundy Thursday at noon and will continue through noon on Good Friday. Good Friday, April 15 — The Good Friday service will take place at noon. It will be contemplat­ive and somber in nature and will contain brief reflection­s and traditiona­l Holy Week hymns. The Church of the Holy Spirit of Harleysvil­le (Episcopal), 2871 Barndt Road at the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford, holds inperson communion services at 8and 10:15a.m. on Sundays, with Covid protocols requiring mask wearing. The church will also continue to live-stream the 10:15 a.m. communion services on Sundays on the church website and Facebook page, Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysvil­le. Saint Mary Church, 40Spring Mount Road, Schwenksvi­lle, will sponsor Friday dinners during Lent from 4to 7p.m. continuing a tradition of Lenten Dinners for either “sit down” or “take out” in Saint Mary Hedge Hall.
