LANSDALE » Hundreds of runners took to the streets on Saturday to raise funds for a good cause after a three-year delay.

Lansdale-based nonprofit Manna on Main Street hosted their in-person 5K, 10K, Fun Run, and online “Race to End Hunger” run on Saturday.

A total of 416 people registered to run, combined across all four options, Manna staff said Monday, in the first in-person run since 2019 after two years of races were held virtually due to COVID-19. In addition to the runners, more than 50 race sponsors and dozens of volunteers helped out, according to Manna, raising over $100,000 to help serve those in need in the community.

All proceeds from the race benefit Manna on Main Street, the North Penn area’s largest nonprofit working to end hunger.

Manna’s programs include a soup kitchen, food pantry, emergency financial assistance, and Common Grounds Food Service Training Program.

Manna is committed to ending hunger in the North Penn region by providing food, fulfilling social service and education needs, and conducting community outreach. Through a food pantry and soup kitchen, emergency financial aid, counseling and referrals, and education opportunities,
