Indians outlast Rams, capture SOL Colonial title

SOUDERTON 4, PENNRIDGE 2 » Jackson Morrisette scattered six hits and two runs in seven innings of work as the Indians captured the SOL Colonial Division title. Justin DeCesare scored a run and drove in a run to pace a balanced Indian attack. Conor Flynn took the loss but scattered nine hits and four runs in six innings of work.

UPPER MORELAND 13, WILLIAM TENNENT 3 » Bo Meakim had three hits and two RBI to lead a 12-hit attack from Upper Moreland in an SOL Freedom win.

Sean Dallahan threw five strong innings after a shaky first to earn the win in a road contest. He gave up four hits and three runs, only one of which was earned, while striking out five. Colin Fell closed out the victory with a scoreless sixth.

Upper Moreland started fast with a five-run top of the first.

DOCK 4, WC RUSTIN 1 » Nate Lapp had eight strikeouts over six innings and slammed a two-run home to lead the Pioneers to the win on Thursday. Lapp allowed only four hits in pickiing up the win and added two hits. Zach Frederick worked a perfect seventh inning for the save.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, NORTH PENN 1 » Trevor Lugara scattered six hits while striking out four but took the loss for the Knights on Thursday. Jack Picozzi’s triple highlighte­d the only offense North Penn (8-9, 6-8) could muster on the day.

PW 9, ABINGTON 8 » The Colonials (13-5, 10-5) rallied from a 7-3 deficit and puilled out the victory in eight innings on Thursday. Joe Redmond delivered a threerun home run in the fifth inning to spark the comeback for PW. Johnny Giordano and Lincoln Sharpe provided solid relief, allowing just one run in 5.1 innings of work. Jesse Jaconski’s two-run home run tied the game up at 8-8 in the sixth inning. Gavin Rocks scored on an infield single from Michael Miller to break the tie. For Abington (9-8, 7-8), Matt Worek delivered a two-homer and later delivered an RBI single.

CB WEST 7, CB EAST 5 » Central Bucks West built a 7-1 lead then held off Central Bucks East rally bid in the bottom of the seventh to earn an SOL Colonial win.

Sam Greer led off the seventh with a home run and also doubled as he went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and three runs scored for the Bucks (9-8, 7-6 division). Kevin Bukowski was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

West broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the third on a Damian Thomas RBI single and Quinn Illig’s two-RBI single. The Bucks added a run each in the fifth, sixth and seventh.

HATBORO-HORSHAM 7, QUAKERTOWN 6 » HatboroHor­sham took a 7-3 lead with four runs in the top of the fifth then held off Quakertown’s late charge in the SOL Liberty contest to secure its 16th consecutiv­e victory.

Trey Porter was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored for the Hatters (162, 15-0 division) and also pitched six innings to earn the win, allowing four runs — two earned — on seven hits, walked one and struck out seven.

Zach Greenberg went 3-for-4 with an RBI, Nick Katherine went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Logan Fischer finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored twice for HH.

Quakertown’s Cooper Natisin was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs. Brandon Pierce was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a run scored for the Panthers (106-1, 9-4-1) while Ethan Beil went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

ARCHBISHOP WOOD 11, GA 4 » Brian Klumpp went 3-for-3 with an RBI while Michael Trommer was 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored as Archbishop Wood picked up an nonleague win over Germantown Academy.

JP DiGuiseppe finished 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Vikings (14-2, 10-1 PCL) while Tyler Kilmer had two RBIs and Sean Burke scored twice.

Joe Joe Cava was 3-for-4 with a run scored for GA. William Irons went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored with Tripp Capers going 2-for-3 with a run scored.

LOWER MORELAND 10, SPRINGFIEL­D (M) 4 » Springfiel­d took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth but Lower Moreland answered with two in the bottom of the inning, three in the fifth then five more in the sixth to win the SOL Freedom matchup.

Matt Dymowski was 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored while Mike Pennisi went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored for the Lions (6-10, 5-9 division).

Mason Tammaro was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and run scored, Aidan Ricciardi finished 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI while Donato Incollingo and Matthew Stolarski each had two RBIs.

Willum Conlin went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Springfiel­d (112, 1-10). Jack McKittrick was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI while Ryan Stewart hit a solo home run in the sixth.

WISSAHICKO­N 16, UPPER DUBLIN 2 » Danielle Ciliberto threw four scoreless innings while the Trojans offense pushed 16 runs across the plate in an SOL Liberty win Thursday.

Ciliberto struck out five batters to no walks and allowed one hit.

Bella Fiore went 2-for-3 with a double for the Cardinals.

ABINGTON 3, PW 2 » Both teams were strong in the circle on Thursday, but Abington was just a bit stronger on Thursday. Molly Moore took the loss for PW, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out 11. Sam Wenhold was just a little better for the Ghosts, scattering five hits and two runs in getting the win. SOUDERTON 10, PENNRIDGE 0» Abby Burns tossed a three-hitter and Riley York added five RBIs to pick up the win on Thursday for the Indians (10-6, 7-6). York was a perfect 3-for-3 on the day with a triple and a home run. Kayley York added two hits, while Catelyn Thrush led Pennridge (8-9, 6-9) with two hits.

NORTH PENN 10, CB SOUTH 0» Julia Shearer allowed two hits in six shutout innings as the Knights picked up another win. Annabelle Smink led the offense with two hits, two walks and three runs scored for the Knights (18-1, 13-1).

Girls lacrosse

UPPER MERION 11, UPPER MORELAND 10 » Vikings’ Ashley Evitts scored five goals, including the game-winner, and added two assists in a non-league win over Upper Moreland Thursday.

Julianna Callison added a hat trick for Upper Merion.

Anaya Onwubuarir­i made seven saves for the Vikings.

NORTH PENN 12, PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 8 » The Knights overcame an early 5-0 deficit to pick up a nonleague win Thursday.

North Penn used an advantage on the draw to climb back into the game and build an 8-6 lead at the half.

Brianna Austin scored four goals for PW.

HARRITON 15, UPPER DUBLIN 11 » Aditi Foster’s three goals and three assists weren’t enough for the Cardinals in a non-league loss Thursday.

Paige Dinkel and Allie Gay each added two goals for Upper Dublin.

Rachel Kolton led Harriton with six goals.
