Williams helps spur Wissahicko­n to rally past Abington

Wissahicko­n 50, Abington 44:

The Trojans trailed by 3entering the fourth quarter, but finished with a 21-12flurry to pick up the win on Tuesday night. Jaylon Williams led the charge with 10 points with Earl Stout and Dom Vacchiano each scoring 9. Jeremiah Lee, Josh Young and Kellen Ingram each scored 10 points for the Ghosts.

CB East 49, Souderton 41:

James Blair scored 11points and Levi John added 8more, but the Indians dropped the SOL Colonial contest on Tuesday night.

Dock 62, Phil-Mont Christian 24: The Pioneers coasted to the BAL win on Tuesday night. 11players scored for Dock (6-1, 3-) led by 12points from Nathan Lapp. Ethan Parr also scored 11 for Dock.

Upper Moreland 52, Cheltenham 50: Nigel Adamson hit a late bucket and the Golden Bears escaped with the SOL Freedom win on Tuesday night. Sean Murphy added 10points for Upper Moreland.

Lower Moreland 49, Springfiel­d Twp. 45: Dylan McKenzie delivered 22points and 4rebounds as the Lions held on for the SOL Freedom win on Tuesday night.

Girls basketball

Methacton 56, Norristown 32: The Warriors raced out to an 18-3lead after one quarter and coasted to the PAC win on Tuesday night. Abby Arnold paced Methacton with 17points, while Cassidy Kropp added nine. Azjiona Golston led Norristown with 17 points.

Upper Moreland 51, Cheltenham 26: The Golden Bears outscored the Panthers in every quarter and coasted to the SOL Freedom win on Tuesday night. Emmy Faith Wood led the way for Upper Moreland with 19 points, 11 in the third quarter. Holly Gohl added 17points, including a trio of 3-pointers.

Souderton 36, CB East 34:

Teya McConnaha finished with 11points and 13rebounds as the Indians survived a test on Tuesday night from the Patriots. Erin Bohmueller added 10points and 3 assists for Souderton.

Upper Merion 26, Upper Perk 16: Levayda Fuqua scored 11 points as the Vikings picked up the PAC Frontier win on Tuesday night.

Abington 75, Wissahicko­n 36:

The Ghosts opened up a 20-6lead to start the game and rolled to the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday night. Kaitlyn McGeary led Wiss with 12points and 11 rebounds. Cire Worley led the Ghosts with 15points.

Boys swimming

Methacton 104, PV 74: Christophe­r Groff had a big day with wins in the 100free (49.72) and 100back (54.57), as well as being a member of the winning 200medley relay (1:42.95) for

Methacton on Tuesday. Christian Lebold was also a member of that winning 200medley relay and also took home wins in the 200IM (2:09.29) and 500free (5:06.05).

Girls swimming

Methacton 96 PV 87: Madison Wimmer and Amanda Tsai were double-winners as the Warriors held on for the win over PV on Tuesday. Wimmer won the 200IM (2:15.82) and 100free (55.95), while Tsai took first in the 100fly (1:06.77) and 100 back (1:05.28). Tsai was also a member of the winning 200 medley relay (1:59.96), teaming up with Izzy Ketterer, Truly Sommer and Lucy Michel. Wimmer was a member of the 200free relay, which won in 1:47.88. She teamed up with Sam Cancro, Michel and Ava Sgarra. Tsai and Wimmer helped close the meet out in style, teaming up for a win in the 400freesty­le relay in 4:01.55.

Wissahicko­n 102, Tennent 65: The Trojans won 9 of 12 events in closing the ‘22portion of the season. Ava Walters won the 200IM and 100free, posting District 1considera­tion times in both races. Maddie Johnson also won the 500free and led off the winning 200 free relay, followed by Abbie Cooley, Gabby Jones and Sarah Pickel. Jones also took first place in the 100fly, while Brynn Remar won the 50 free and 100 back. Sabrina Honeycutt, Faith Pigeon and Cais Yeung also went 1-2-3in diving.
