Joseph Scott Becker

Joseph Scott Becker, 72, of Schnecksville, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 in his home. He was the husband of Linda G. (Mears) Becker to whom he was married 50 years this past March. Born in Norristown, Montgomery County, November 18, 1950, Scott was the son of the late Joseph B. and Esther Louise (Hunsicker) Becker. He received his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and earned his Master’s in Engineering from Purdue University and MBA from Lehigh University. He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. Scott was a metallurgical engineer employed at Air Products and Chemicals Inc., in Trexlertown for 25 years before retiring. Prior to that, he worked in the same capacity for Inland Steel in East Chicago, IN. He was a member at Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Linda; granddaughter, Ashlyn Lloyd-Becker of Orefield; sister, Margaret Lefebvre of Michigan; nieces, Pamela Jacknow, Joanna Dechellis and their extended families. He was predeceased by son, Matthew Scott Becker.

Service: A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Ebenezer U.C.C., 7293 Decatur Street, New Tripoli with Pastor Wally F. Frisch officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:00 am. -11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the church. The Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in Schnecksville is in charge of arrangements.
