North Penn stuns Pennsbury in SOL opener

Boys basketball North Penn 46, Pennsbury 40:

Teddy McAllister scored 16 points, while Norman Gee added 15as the fifth-seeded Knights picked up the win in the first round of the SOL Tournament on Friday night. The Knights will be at No. 1PW on Saturday.

Dock 64, Plumstead Christian 34:

Hoyt Bultje scored 10 points and grabbed 12rebounds as the Pioneers won their 30th consecutiv­e regular season BAL game. Tony Martin chipped in with 14and Lane Bergey had 10 points for Dock (20-2).

CB East 67, Pennridge 61:

The second-seeded Patriots only allowed 10 fourth-quarter points and held on for the SOL Tournament win on Friday night. Dhruy Mukund led a balanced effort for East with 13points, while Tyler Dandrea added 12. Matt Campione paced Pennridge with 20 points.

Penn Charter 63, Germantown Academy 49: The Patriots were outscored in every quarter and dropped the Inter-AC contest on Friday night. Bryce Rollerson and Tyler Nolan each scored 11points to lead GA, while Mark Butler scored 14 for PC.

Girls basketball Souderton 54, Pennridge 40:

The second-seeded Indians opened the second half with a 15-4spurt and coasted to the win on Friday night in the first round of the SOL Tournament over the Rams. It was a balanced attack for Souderton with Mikayla McGilian and Casey Harter both scoring 12points, while Teya McConnaha added 10points and 9 rebounds. Anna Croyle paced Pennridge with 12points, while Olivia Poole added 10. The Indians will host Neshaminy Saturday at 3 in the semfiinals.

Abington 61, Upper Moreland 41:

Abril Bowser scored 18 points as the fifth-seeded Ghosts won big in the first round of the SOL Tournament on Friday night. Cire Worley added 10for Abington. Calvary Baptist 56, Bethlehem Christian 15: On Friday night Calvary captured its 15th consecutiv­e win. The Warriors jumped out to a 24-5lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Senior Aubryn Ridge led the way with 18points, while Aubrey Hampton added 10 and junior Grace Leader chipped in with 10.
