Ruth N. Johnson

Ruth N. Johnson, age 89, of Harleysville, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Johnson Sr., with whom she shared over 56 years of marriage.

Born July 26, 1933, in Camden, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen R. and Ruth Olga (Stewart)

Newman.

Ruth is survived by her children Robert C. Johnson Jr, and his wife Barbara, Lynne J. Krushell and her husband Robert, Paul S. Johnson and his wife Wendi; grandchildren Alexandra, Andrew, Stephen, Robert (Brooke), Reed, Rika; sister-in-law Joyce Butterweck. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother Stephen R. Newman Jr.

Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse until her children were born. After her children were born Ruth still found ways to help many people during her life. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband and traveled to Europe and China and even visited behind the “Iron Curtain”. She enjoyed history and was an avid reader. Ruth was known as a passionate Christian which came through in her intense care for others.

A memorial service for Ruth will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 13, 2023, at the WilliamsBergey-Koffel Funeral Home Inc., 667 Harleysville Pike, Telford, where the family will greet guests from 10:00 – 10:45 AM. Interment will take place in Calvary Church Cemetery, Souderton.
