United Ringers, the handbell choir at St. John’s United Church of Christ, will play “I Heard The Voice of Jesus Say” at the 10:15a.m. service on March 12. In addition, the Chancel Choir will sing “Dona Nobis Pacem by Davis Giersch, retired choral director at North Penn High School. There is also an 8a.m. service. Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church Lenten Soup Suppers continue Wednesdays throughout Lent with the final one on March 29. The suppers begin at 5:30with plenty of homemade soups provided by members of the various committees of the church along with bread. The suppers will be followed by a Lenten study program entitled “Love God, Neighbor, Enemy” lead byS GPC’s Pastor Wonjae Choi. This study curriculum comes from the series “Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living.” The church is at 837 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale. Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church’s Adult Forum meets on Monday nights at 7 p.m. via Zoom. During Lent, the Adult Forum will switch gears from the Great Courses video series to a six-part series titled “Faithful Citizenshi­p: An Adult Lenten Study” that will focus on Lent as a time of growth in community outreach and in our social vision. The Horsham Interfaith Coalition through its participat­ing congregati­ons, will be collecting new (and very gently used) children’s clothes sizes 6months to children’s size 12 during Lent. Collection sites are St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Resurrecti­on Lutheran Church, Horsham Library and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in their PREP Office. No stuffed animals or blankets, please. Gwynedd Square Presbyteri­an Church invites you to participat­e in Betsy’s Book Club, a small group at the church. The club has been active for over 20years and is named after its founder, Betsy Albinson. The next meeting will be Thursday, March 23, at Pizza Time Saloon at 5:30p.m. The books to be discussed will be “The Personal Librarian” by Marie Benedict and Victoria Christophe­r Murray and “Demon Copperhead” by Barbara Kingsolver. The club meets on a Wednesday or Thursday every other month. At each meeting the group chooses: the books to be read for the next meeting, the date, and the meeting place. The books span an array of types, such as fiction, nonfiction, biographie­s, historical fiction and memoirs.
