Episcopal Church of the Messiah: The church in Gwynedd, on Route 202 next to William Penn Inn, offers Holy Eucharist every Sunday at 8 and 9:30 a.m. In addition there will be a special Celtic Eucharist on the Eve of St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 16 at 5 p.m. Celtic Eucharist offers gracious space and an hour to enjoy the holiness of God, gently touched by candlelight, music and prayer. Renowned local oboist Tara Harvey will play during the service. During Lent, Messiah offers a study course, “Knowing God.” The next session will be on Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m., in the Guild Room opposite the church. The suppers begin at 5:30 p.m. with homemade soups provided by members of the Session Committees and the Board of Deacons. (Episcopal): The church at 2871 Barndt Road at the corner of Sumneytown Pike, Upper Salford, holds Communion services in-person at 8 and 10:15 a.m. on Sundays.The 10:15a.m. services on Sundays are livestreamed on the church website and Facebook page — Church of the Holy Spirit, Harleysville. A special Lenten program, “What is the Bible and What Do We Do With It?”, by Pete Enns will continue at 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 10, in the parish hall. Enns is a professor of Bible at Eastern University and hosts the podcast, “The Bible for Normal People.” On Friday, March 15, at 7 p.m. a Celtic Concert of traditional Irish music will be presented at the church featuring the Jameson Sisters (Ellen Tepper on harp and Terry Kane on guitar and mandolin) along with Helene Zisook Speer on violin. of Christ: St. John’s celebrates One Great Hour of Sharing at the one in-person 10:15a.m. service on March 10. One Great Hour of Sharing is one of four special mission offerings of the United Church of Christ. Every Wednesday evening, St. John’s United Church of Christ hosts Wednesday Night Live (WNL) which will include a Community Meal from 5-7 p.m., Worship with Communion at 5:30, Children’s Music and Adult Education at 6, Adult Hand Bell Choir at 6:45 and Chancel Choir at 7:30. The “little church with a big heart” at 615Cowpath Road, Montgomeryville, worships in the sanctuary as well as on Zoom at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.
