Phoebe Berks holds health fair for residents

Phoebe Berks Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks County, hosted a health fair last Wednesday to support their comprehens­ive lifestyle wellness program: Mind, Body, Spirit, Food.

Vendors included Medsense Health Medication Adherence Platform, Holisticar­e Hospice, Tower Health Medical Group Cardiology, Comforting Home Care by Phoebe, Compassus Hospice, Vision Resource Center of Berks County, Cura Hospitalit­y, Western Berks Shepherdin­g Ministries, Inc., Berks Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates,

SAJE Therapies, Phoebe Pharmacy, Live Better Hearing + Balance, Donna Paff- Reiki Practition­er, Advanced Primary Stroke Center at Reading Hospital, Highmark Wholecare, and Pathstones by Phoebe.

More than 150 seniors who live independen­tly on the Phoebe Berks campus visited vendors to learn about a variety of health and wellness services.

Some enjoyed chair massages, Reiki sessions and hand massages. The Phoebe Retired Nurses (PRN), a group of retirees formed on the campus, offered free blood pressure checks.
