Travis Credit Union hosting financial education seminars in February

The topic of finances is certainly on a lot of people’s minds, especially with tax forms starting to arrive in the mail. No matter the age, people can always stand to be smarter when it comes to financial planning, and Travis Credit Union certainly has a lot of opportunit­ies to help.

Throughout the month of February, Travis Credit Union will be providing free webinars on a range of topics regarding financial education.

The topics are as follows:

* Part 3 of the Driving Assistance Grant Program, 11 a.m. Feb. 3.

* Session 2 of the “Let’s Talk Money” program for 13 to 18-year-olds, 4 p.m. Feb. 4.

* 30 Ways to Trim Your Budget, 11 a.m. Feb. 9.

* Rebuilding After a Financial Crisis, 11 a.m. Feb. 10.

* Organizing Your Financial Records, 6 p.m. Feb. 23.

* Rebuilding After a Financial Crisis, 11 a.m. Feb. 25. (This webinar is conducted in Spanish.)

* How to Earn Scholarshi­ps, 11:30 a.m. Feb. 27.

“The live webinars are free to attend and will feature informativ­e and practical informatio­n through presentati­ons, as well as opportunit­ies to engage and interact through questions and polls,” TCU officials wrote in a news release.

The webinars are open to all ages, as well as both members and nonmembers. For those unable to attend the events at the scheduled times, the sessions will be recorded and made available “on-demand,” officials wrote.
