Paradise Valley Women’s Golf Club

In Sweeps, Darlene Goodman won first flight with a net 66, followed by P.J. Lowrey (67), Chris Moore (77) and Mitchewlla Ybarra (78).

Second flight went to Myrna De Martino with a net 69, followed by Jackie Harbert (71), Joan Mc Cluskley (74) and Regina Cortez (76),

Rita May won thrid flight with a net 76, followed by Kathryn Houk (79), Sandy Handel (80) and Christine Williamson (81).

Fourth flight was won by Stella Gaudet with a net 77, followed by Beryl Bridges (79), and Charlotte Godsey (85).

De Martino came closest to the pin on hole No. 3 at 42 feet, 2 inches and Mc Cluskley was next closest at 48 feet. Goodman came nearest on No. 11 at two feet, fiveand-one-half inches, while Debbie Dahl was next nearest at four feet, four inches.

Lowrey birdied hole No. 9 and Goodman birdied No. 8.

Mc Cluskley chipped in on No. 9.

Niners

April Fool’s Day turned out to be a challenge for the Niners. An accident on the road leading to the golf course caused many players to take detours. But they persevered and learned roads they hadn’t been on before. Mother Nature cooperated with a beautiful spring day. The ladies played an April Fool’s game on the back nine — T’s and F’s. They counted the score on holes that began with those letters: ten, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen with half their handicap allowed.

Judi Moses and Marilee Schauff both had a net 12.5 in first flight, Moses winning on the handicap hole tiebreaker. They were followed by Sue Watkins (14.5), Reno Romiski (16.5) and Judy Royle (17).

Nancy Schlesinge­r won second flight with a net 12, followed by Diane Stephens (13.5), Chris Robertson (16), Judy Horan (16), Connie Valenzuela (18) and Kitty Lockwood (18).

Third flight went to Kim Weaver with a net 11, followed by Kay Bone (12.5), Diana Choate (13.5) and

Kay Williams (17).

Rosie McCown took fourth flight with a net 17.5, followed by Shirley Morris (19.5) and Rosemarie Chonzena (20.5).

Rancho Solano Women’s Golf Club

In Criss Cross on Tuesday, June Kitipan had the low gross of 78.

Kitipan won first flight, followed by Lynette Fitzgerald and Nemi Warren.

Kathryn Houk won second flight, followed by Kelyne Maertz and Amy Shively.

Chip-ins were recorded by Houk on hole No. 2 and Maertz on No. 15.

Lynda Donahue birdied holes No. 5, 8 and 9. Kitipan birdied Nos. 4 and 5, Houk birdied No. 2, while Maertz birdied No. 15.
