The Vikings improved to 3-0 in MEL play with a 2515, 25-15 sweep of the Wildcats.

Vanden’s Breanna Davis was 17-for-17 serving with four aces, nine assists and three digs. Jada Cuffie was 2-for-2 serving with eight kills and two blocks. Taya Kelly went 6-for-6 serving with two aces, and Makenzie

“Our JV game today against a strong Vanden team had many ups and downs,” said Wood coach Andrew Randolph. “Our girls fell short during the first part of the first set, but were able to turn it around and play consistently for the remainder of the first set and the entirety of the second. We are a team that plays well when we work together and have fun doing it. I think that was evident in the latter part of our game today. Despite falling short to Vanden in two games, we had two solid service runs by Francesca Sandoval and Mia Carr, along with all-around great play by Gwen Duncan.”
