NorthBay Health continues budget-recovery efforts
CFO Michele Bouit plans November departure for personal reasons; plan still on track

NorthBay Health's budget-recovery plan, announced in July, is on track to meet a $100 million goal of savings by the end of 2022, officials at the locally-managed, nonprofit healthcare system have announced.
Leaders at the Fairfieldbased healthcare provider “quickly implemented multiple cost-saving initiatives to react to the changing healthcare financial landscape” and continues to pursue several key funding opportunities to reach its goals, NorthBay spokeswoman Diane Barney wrote in a press statement.
“Our team has done an outstanding job ensuring NorthBay Health is financially strong, remains independent, and, importantly, provides Solano County with exceptional health care,” said B. Konard Jones, president, and CEO of NorthBay Health. “Every member of our team has taken the necessary steps to contribute to our yearend goal.”
Additionally, NorthBay Health's chief financial officer, Michele Bouit, plans to step down for personal reasons effective Nov. 18, Barney noted in the prepared statement.
Bouit has been instrumental in developing and implementing the budget recovery plan, communicating with financial partners, and providing “a solid path forward for NorthBay Health to meet its financial goals,” she added.
“Michele is a dedicated and innovative financial steward. I am grateful for her guidance through this challenging period,” Jones said. “She has assisted in providing us with a step-bystep roadmap which we will execute throughout the remainder of her tenure with us and continue beyond her departure with the help of an interim CFO. We will miss her spirit and support.”
NorthBay Health is actively pursuing the recruitment of an experienced interim CFO.
Bouit will aid in the selection of the interim CFO and will spend several weeks preparing that person for their new job in the NorthBay Health system, said Barney.
