Vaca Christian boys hoops still undefeated in league

Vacaville soccer beats Vanden, while Vacaville boys basketball also gets victory

The Vacaville Christian boys basketball team remained undefeated in league play with a 76-72 win Tuesday night over Rio Vista.

Garrett Kuch had 25 points and 10 boards for the Falcons, while Landen Graves had 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Brian Laxamana had 12 points, while Thomas Lane added another 10 points for Vacaville Christian.

The Falcons are now 18-3 and 8-0 in the Sierra

Delta League. RODRIGUEZ 56, WOOD 43 >>

The Will C. Wood boys basketball team lost to Rodriguez on Tuesday night, 5643.

A 14-6 run by Rodriguez in the third quarter doomed Wood in the loss.

The Wildcat were led by Isiah Dixon, who had 11 points and 10 rebounds. Cory Edwards and Josiah Chavez each had seven points.

Rodriguez was led by Gianni Miles, who had 17 points.

VACAVILLE 69, ARMIJO 54 >>

The Vacaville High boys basketball team defeated

Armijo 69-54 on Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs improved to 18-6 and 6-1 in the Monticello Empire League with the win. The Bulldogs play Vanden on Thursday night in Fairfield.

VANDEN 65, FAIRFIELD 53 >>

The Vanden High boys basketball team defeated Fairfield 65-53 on Tuesday night.

With the win, Vanden improves to 17-8 overall and 6-1 in the Monticello Empire League.

Boys soccer

VACAVILLE 7, VANDEN 0 >> The Vacaville High boys soccer team defeated Vanden 7-0 on Tuesday night.

Nathan Beltran had a hat trick for the Bulldogs, who improved to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in the Monticello Empire League with the win.

Elias Ordonez, Jareth Adame, Alex Verdugo and Christian Brenes also scored for Vacaville. Armijo 4, Wood 2 Will C. Wood's boys soccer team lost to Armijo 4-2 on Tuesday night.

With the loss, the Wildcats fell to 7-5-2 and 4-3 in the Monticello Empire League.
