WARRIORS LOSE TO LEBRON-LESS LAKERS

SAN FRANCISCO >> The Warriors can't catch a break.

They've lost Stephen Curry indefinite­ly with a leg injury and a trade intended to help make them stronger postseason competitor­s has been put on hold after a failed physical. And now, on a night with both teams missing their biggest stars, Golden State once again fell flat to drop back down to .500 on the season.

Golden State went quiet late in the fourth Saturday night to eventual lose 109-103 to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The game featured both teams without their biggest stars. Curry is obviously still out, while LeBron James, the NBA's newly crowned all-time scoring leader, missed Saturday with left ankle soreness.

The Warriors entered the fourth trailing by six points. Backto-back Jordan Poole 3s pulled in the first 1:24 knotted the game at 87 and forced the Lakers to call a timeout.

The game remained neck-andneck from there one, with neither team leading by more than three until Dennis Schroder hit a midrange runner with 4:20 left to give Lakers the 103-98 advantage. Los Angeles' lead would swell to seven before Donte DiVincenzo 3 ended the Warriors' 3 1/2-minute scoring drought.

Poole scored 25 of his 29 points in the second half, including 17 in the fourth. He finished the night with six assists and five rebounds.

Five other Warriors finished with double figure scoring. Draymond Green contribute­d 12 points on eight shots to go along with seven rebounds and 10 assists. And Klay Thompson added 15 points.

The game, though, was overshadow­ed by the Warriors' decision on whether they want to reverse the four-team trade that sent James Wiseman to the Pistons and moved Gary Payton II back to Golden State at the deadline Thursday.
