Parks and Rec to hold 3 Easter events
The Vacaville Parks and Recreation Department will host three Easter events in April.
An Underwater Egg Hunt will be at 1 p.m. April 1. Youth ages 12 and under will search for eggs in a heated pool at the Walter V. Graham Aquatic Center, 1100 Alamo Drive.
Each child will be assigned to an age and skill level appropriate area. After the egg hunt, there will be arts and crafts and games for participants to enjoy. Children under 8 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for the entirety of the hunt. This event will be held rain or shine.
Pre-registration is highly recommended by Saturday for $14 per person. Day-of cost will be $16. Spectators are welcome and a $5 fee will be charged for those attending but not participating.
From 8:30 to 10 a.m. April 8 at the McBride Community Center at 91 Town Square Plaza, attendees can enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, two sausage links and a beverage. The Easter Bunny will be available for photographs and there will also be crafts. A raffle will be held to benefit City of Vacaville preschool programs.
Pre-registration is required for all participants by April. The cost is $12 per person and ages 2 and under are free. No drop-in attendees will be allowed. Breakfast will be served promptly at 8:30 a.m.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 8 at the Andrews Park Amphitheater, 614 E. Monte Vista Ave., you can join Ms. Bunny Bonnet. There will be wagon rides, art workshops, an egg hunt and a petting zoo.
The egg hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m. Each child who wants to participate in the hunt will need to bring their own basket. The egg hunt will be divided into three age groups: 0-3 (with an adult), 4-8, and all ages.
Participation is free, but expect to pay vendors for activities. Wagon rides are $5-$7 per person. The event will be held rain or shine.
