Virtual meeting to discuss The Fields
Vacaville city staff held a virtual neighborhood meeting Thursday to discuss The Fields at Alamo Creek proposed subdivision.
Senior Planner Albert Enault said that the city will prepare a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) for the proposed project.
The Fields at Alamo Creek consists of a 33.6acre site with 223 residential units with a 6.71-acre agricultural buffer and a 0.52-acre pocket park.
This project relies on a previously approved project, The Farm at Alamo Creek. Entitlements for the project include annexation to allow the city to access municipal services such as water, sewer and storm drainage, General Plan amendment, Zoning Map amendment, Specific Plan amendment, a Tentative Subdivision Map, as well as an Airport Area of Influence Review.
Enault said that only a SEIR is required for this project since it would be an extension of The Farm at Alamo Creek development. Information required to make the previous Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) adequate would include air quality, biological resources, land use, transportation, as well as utilities and service systems.
After documenting public comments and questions, the next step of the project will be to prepare the draft SEIR. A Notice of Availability will be released once this draft is published. Comments will then be received on the draft SEIR.
Only one member of the public spoke during the meeting. Staff were asked if this project would include affordable housing. The response from Enault was that it would not. It was also suggested by the community member to add bike lanes for safety in the area because the project is located within incorporated Solano County.
