HELLO everyone at _________ School! Here I am at last, your school librarian, Miss ________, just returning from a vacation to the Isle of _______! Yes, finally, you can check out some _________ books again, from our _________ collection, and start doing book reports. Just so you know, we have new, _______ books that are so exciting, they will knock your ________s off!

WHAT? You want to know about my stay on that _________ island? Sure! It belongs to the country of ________, and it's famous for growing ________ and for having two animals: the _________, and the ________. The natives make ________s to sell to tourists, and I liked bargaining with them. At first they asked me to pay $________ for each item, but in the end, I bargained for $_______. I bought one for each member of my family, and came away feeling _______.

AND: The main food on the island is _________, sprinkled with shredded ________, with some barbecued ________ on the side. Really ________!

ALSO: The natives are very superstitious and believe that if a ________ runs across the path in front of you, you must say the word “_______” and raise your ________ high above your head and jump up and down _______ times with your eyes closed. If you see a ________ when you open your eyes, you will have good luck, but if you see a ________, your mother will be bitten by a _______.

YES! It happened to me, but I refused to do the ________ superstitious stuff, and I am taking my chances. They kicked me off the island for refusing, but oh well. I had good luck anyway, because just before I boarded the plane to leave, someone slipped $_______ in my jacket pocket and I used it to buy a _______.

ENOUGH! The calendar says that in two weeks, it will be the end of summer. Thank goodness! We are going to grow a Library Pumpkin Garden at our school and there will be a contest. The student who reads the most books with a pumpkin theme, will be awarded a ________.

EASY! We have this many pumpkin books:_________ and the most ________ one is brand new and the title is “________ Married a Pumpkin!” We also have “Pumpkins Cause ________,” “Carving Pumpkins to Look Like _______s”, “The Mystery of the ________ and the ________ Pumpkin,” and “The Day Pumpkins turned into ________s”.

OH, I almost forgot. There's “Pretty Little Pumpkin Grew Up to Be a ________,” and “Pumpkins Rule _______.”

HALLOWEEN: By the end of October, we will carve our garden pumpkins! Do you feel as ________ as I do? YAY! Let's go for it! “Bye” for now!
