- By Caroline Collacutt TV Media

It’s time to set the table — the king of flavor is coming to town. Guy Fieri is behind the wheel and ready to eat, as Season 36 of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” is in full swing, with an all-new episode airing Friday, Feb. 16, on Food Network.

He may be the mayor of Flavortown, but Guy Fieri has become a nationwide delight as he drives his bright red, 1968 Chevy Camaro

SS convertible from city to city across America, sitting down for meals that would make even the pickiest chefs ask for seconds.

So far this season, Fieri has traveled to taste some unbelievable eats, diving headfirst into what the network calls a “meaty smorgasbord.” From Tennessee, to Florida, to North Carolina and New Hampshire, Guy Fieri has been driving his way to restaurants of all shapes and sizes, digging into everything from bomb bagels and some classically delicious pizzas and tacos, to elevated versions of American classics, like shrimp and grits. As he tackles the latest and greatest in sideof-the-road cuisine, Fieri has taken to this latest season of “DDD” like a fish takes to water, and the adventure has just begun.

A description given by Food Network shares that this upcoming sixth episode will see Fieri jumping into a full-fledged culinary adventure, “starting in San Diego, where there’s a 2-for-1 spot servin’ Baja-style seafood and rich bone marrow tacos, and a funky food truck puttin’ out next-level shawarma. Then in Taos, [New Mexico], a pan-Asian joint is pullin’ out the stops with curry noodles and a bison Reuben banh mi.”

Following that, the mayor of Flavortown will pack his bags yet again and head out in search of some delicious Thai food, some pie and some hearty fries. “In San Diego,” Food Network says, “an amazing Asian spot is servin’ phenomenal fried fish and righteous ribs. Plus, in Arroyo Seco, [New Mexico], a New Zealand food truck is making mouthwatering meat pies and a modern comfort joint is cooking up a mushroom masterpiece and loaded bison chili fries.”

As episodes air, some of Fieri’s favorite, newly found recipes are shared on Food Network’s website, including the likes of chicken chipotle pie, fried rockfish, pollo borachon (drunken chicken), boss hawg and pastrami beef rib boards, allowing viewers to participate in the chef’s mouth-watering road trip from right at home.

With a never-ending appetite, Guy Fieri continues his culinary adventure in each new episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” airing Fridays on Food Network.
