Ma­honey Broth­ers re­turn to area for show on Satur­day

Don’t miss the op­por­tu­nity to see the “world’s great­est mu­si­cal im­per­son­ation show” when the Ma­honey Broth­ers per­for­mSatur­day in Mount Carmel.

With 15 to 20 cos­tume changes, they ap­pear as Elvis, Wil­lie Nel­son, Neil Di­a­mond, Roy Or­bi­son, Billy Joel, The Bea­tles, The Beach Boys, Jerry Lee Lewis and more. The Ma­honey Broth­ers have per­formed more than 5,000 shows all over the world, in­clud­ing many casi­nos and cruise ships.

The first set will honor all of our lo­cal school dis­tricts andViet­nam vet­er­ans will be hon­ored dur­ing in­ter­mis­sion.

“Our he­roes, when re­turn­ing fromthis dread­ful war, were never hon­ored with pa­rades, were spat on and treated with ridicule. They had trou­ble find­ing jobs and get­ting med­i­cal treat­ment. Be there to pay tribute to th­ese for­got­ten he­roes,” Joe Ce­sari, event co­or­di­na­tor, said.

At­ten­dees will re­ceive a spe­cial treatwhen two stu­dents from South­ern Columbia Area School District, fourth- graderMichae­laWil­liams and ninth- grader Chase Petro, per­formthe na­tional an­them on vi­o­lins as the Amer­i­can flag is pre­sented.

The showwill take place at 7 p. m. at Mount Carmel Area High School au­di­to­rium, with doors open­ing at 6 p. m. Tick­ets can be pur­chased at Academy Sports, Mount Carmel, and the Sub­way atWal­mart, Coal Town­ship. Tick­ets will also be sold at the door be­fore the show. Price is $ 20 per ticket. Viet­nam vet­er­ans, with proper iden­ti­fi­ca­tion, can pur­chase a ticket at the door for $ 10.

Pro­ceeds will be used for area youth and recre­ation pro­grams. The showis spon­sored by theKulp­mont Cruise As­so­ci­a­tion.
