Ed­ward Joseph Don­ald­son, 86, died Feb. 9 in Ma­ri­etta, Ga.

He was born Oct. 4, 1932, a son of Fran­cis and Ju­lia Don­ald­son, Saint Clair.

He was an Army vet­eran of the Korean War.

He was known to his friends as E.J., and he was an ex­per­i­men­tal en­gi­neer tech at Lock­heed Martin in Ma­ri­etta, Ga., for over 40 years. He loved to trout fish, make wine and was an avid reader.

He was pre­ceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Dil­lard Don­ald­son, Blairsville, Ga.; brothers, Robert and James Don­ald­son; sis­ter, Eleanor McNa­mara.

He is sur­vived by his chil­dren, Ted Don­ald­son, Ge­or­gia, and Jen­nifer LaGessie, Alabama; son-in-law, Todd; grand­daugh­ter, Ma­rina. He is also sur­vived by sis­ters, Marie For­ney, Schuylkill Haven, Rita Hinchey and Beat­rice Allen, both of Saint Clair.
