April 14, 2018 Joseph Dutchak, 79, of South Wy­lam Street, Frackville, died Satur­day at home. Born in Brook­lyn, N.Y., Feb. 20, 1939, he was a son of the late Joseph and Theresa Saloma Dutchak. Joseph served in the Army. He re­tired as a ma­chine op­er­a­tor from Mack Truck, Al­len­town, where he was a mem­ber of UAW Lo­cal 677.

He was a mem­ber of St. Mary Byzan­tine Catholic Church, Ma­hanoy City.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he was pre­ceded in death by brother, Nicholas Dutchak.

Sur­viv­ing are a sis­ter, Kathy Zig­mund and her hus­band, Joseph, Frackville; sis­ter-in-law, Carol Dutchak, Clifton, N.J.; nieces and neph­ews.

Of­fice of Chris­tian Burial with Divine Li­turgy will be held at 10:30 p.m. Thurs­day from St. Mary Byzan­tine Catholic Church, 621 W. Ma­hanoy St., Ma­hanoy City, PA 17948, with the Rev. James Car­roll of­fi­ci­at­ing. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Thurs­day or 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wed­nes­day with Paras­tas held Wed­nes­day evening at Nice-Hart Fu­neral Home Inc., 9 N. Le­high Ave., Frackville, PA 17931. In lieu of flow­ers, con­tri­bu­tions may be made to St. Mary’s Byzan­tine Memo­rial Fund.
