April 14, 2018 Joseph Dutchak, 79, of South Wylam Street, Frackville, died Saturday at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Feb. 20, 1939, he was a son of the late Joseph and Theresa Saloma Dutchak. Joseph served in the Army. He retired as a machine operator from Mack Truck, Allentown, where he was a member of UAW Local 677.
He was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Nicholas Dutchak.
Surviving are a sister, Kathy Zigmund and her husband, Joseph, Frackville; sister-in-law, Carol Dutchak, Clifton, N.J.; nieces and nephews.
Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held at 10:30 p.m. Thursday from St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, 621 W. Mahanoy St., Mahanoy City, PA 17948, with the Rev. James Carroll officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday or 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday with Parastas held Wednesday evening at Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 N.
