Williams Val­ley’s Pin­chorski named PSAC’s top pitcher

LOCK HAVEN — Millersville se­nior pitcher Cas­sidy Pin­chorski earned her first ca­reer Penn­syl­va­nia State Ath­letic Con­fer­ence East Divi­sion Soft­ball Pitcher of the Week honor Mon­day. Pin­chorski dom­i­nated the cir­cle by giv­ing up a to­tal of two runs and post­ing a 1.20 ERA in two games.

Pin­chorski showed her dom­i­nance in the first matchup against Ship­pens­burg where she gave up two hits, al­lowed only one run and no walks. Pin­chorski earned her third com­plete game and her fourth win of the sea­son.

In the sec­ond PSAC East start of the week, Pin­chorski had a one-hit­ter un­til the top of the sixth in­ning when an East Strouds­burg bat­ter sin­gled. Pin­chorski struck out four bat­ters, al­lowed five hits and one run, which was given up in the top of the sev­enth in­ning with two outs.

Pin­chorski is 5-4 over­all with a 3.44 ERA this sea­son in 13 ap­pear­ance and has struck out 29 bat­ters. She is 11 shy of break­ing the all­time strike­out ca­reer record in Millersville pro­gram his­tory. The Ma­raud­ers are 17-14 over­all and 6-4 in the PSAC East.
