Yuengling do­nates $ 50,000 to or­ga­ni­za­tion help­ing vet­er­ans

D. G. Yuengling & Son Inc. has do­nated $ 50,000 to an or­ga­ni­za­tion that en­riches the lives of our na­tion’s vet­er­ans.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the Pottsville brew­ery pre­sented a check to Team Red, White & Blue through the com­pany’s Lagers for Heroes pro­gram.

“We are thrilled to an­nounce Team RWB as a new part­ner for our Lagers for Heroes pro­gram,” Deb­bie Yuengling, a sixth- gen­er­a­tion brewer, said. “Team RWB of­fers in­valu­able re­sources and sup­port ser­vices for vet­er­ans, and we are proud to sup­port an or­ga­ni­za­tion that shares our same com­mit­ment to our na­tion’s mil­i­tary.”

Team RWB Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor John Pin­ter ac­cepted on be­half of the non­profit, which con­nects Amer­ica’s vet­er­ans with their com­mu­ni­ties through phys­i­cal and so­cial ac­tiv­ity. Jen­nifer Yuengling, vice pre­siYuengling and Pin­ter for the cere­dent of op­er­a­tions for D. G. mony, along with Bana Miller, SarYuengling & Son Inc., joined Deb­bie ah Ames, Am­ber Bensinger, Deb­bie Al­to­belli and Amanda Rondon.

Yuengling also sup­ported Team RWB’S Old Glory Re­lay. Dur­ing the Penn­syl­va­nia leg of the Old Glory Re­lay in Septem­ber, Jen­nifer Yuengling raised the flag and ran a por­tion of the course with the team. The re­lay is a 4,300- mile jour­ney where vet­er­ans and sup­port­ers carry the Amer­i­can flag across the coun­try to honor and con­nect those who served.

Yuengling’s lat­est do­na­tion will fur­ther Team RWB’S com­mit­ment to cre­at­ing qual­ity re­la­tion­ships and ex­pe­ri­ences for vet­er­ans.

“We are ex­tremely hon­ored by the gen­er­ous sup­port of Yuengling’s Lagers for Heroes pro­gram,” Pin­ter, said. “This do­na­tion will en­able us to sig­nif­i­cantly ex­pand our pro­grams and im­pact the lives of vet­er­ans and their fam­i­lies.”
