The Ring­town Area Pub­lic Li­brary will cel­e­brate Take Your Child to the Li­brary Day Feb. 2 by hosting two pro­grams for chil­dren: Mother Goose on the Loose for tod­dlers at 9:30 a.m. fol­lowed by Sto­ry­time for ages 3 to 6 at 10:15 a.m. All chil­dren must be ac­com­pa­nied by an adult. Through­out the day, chil­dren can play with the li­brary’s large col­lec­tion of ed­u­ca­tional toys, in­clud­ing many build­ing, con­struc­tion and STEM sets as well as the pop­u­lar OSMO for ipad game col­lec­tion for chil­dren ages 5 to 12. The Ring­town li­brary, ac­cord­ing to Di­rec­tor Tanya Sav­it­sky, is a “proud Cruise Into Kinder­garten li­brary, com­mit­ted to pro­vid­ing learn­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for young chil­dren and to help­ing fam­i­lies with all as­pects of kinder­garten readi­ness.” For more in­for­ma­tion, go to the li­brary’s web­site at www. ring­town­li­brary. org or email to ring­town­li­[email protected] epix. net.
