Elizabeth ‘ Dotty’ Kanger

Elizabeth “Dotty” Kanger, 69, of Pottsville, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, at her home.
Dotty was born in Saint Clair, Jan. 14, 1949, a daughter of the late Luther and Ruby Creech Culbert.
Dotty was preceded in death by three sons, Billy Kanger, Duane Kanger and Michael Kanger; a brother, James Culbert; a sister, Marlene Seiger; a granddaughter, Nicole Tassone.
Dotty is survived by two daughters, Carol, wife of Brian Tassone, Pottsville, and Ruby Kirkland, wife of Kirk Kirkland, Pottsville. Dotty is also survived by three sisters, Trudy Kessock and Patty Kessock, both of Saint Clair, and Carolyn Freeman, Friedensburg; a brother, Jack Culbert, Saint Clair. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Dotty was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a huge heart and would give you the shirt off her back. To know her was to love her. She left behind a legacy of love and kindness. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p. m. Jan. 25 at Primitive Methodist Church, Saint Clair. All family and friends are invited to attend. Louis D.
