El­iz­abeth “Dotty” Kanger, 69, of Pottsville, passed away Fri­day, Jan. 11, at her home.

Dotty was born in Saint Clair, Jan. 14, 1949, a daugh­ter of the late Luther and Ruby Creech Cul­bert.

Dotty was pre­ceded in death by three sons, Billy Kanger, Duane Kanger and Michael Kanger; a brother, James Cul­bert; a sis­ter, Mar­lene Seiger; a grand­daugh­ter, Nicole Tas­sone.

Dotty is sur­vived by two daugh­ters, Carol, wife of Brian Tas­sone, Pottsville, and Ruby Kirk­land, wife of Kirk Kirk­land, Pottsville. Dotty is also sur­vived by three sis­ters, Trudy Kes­sock and Patty Kes­sock, both of Saint Clair, and Car­olyn Free­man, Friedens­burg; a brother, Jack Cul­bert, Saint Clair. She is also sur­vived by seven grand­chil­dren and nieces and neph­ews.

Dotty was loved by ev­ery­one who knew her. She had a huge heart and would give you the shirt off her back. To know her was to love her. She left be­hind a legacy of love and kind­ness. She will al­ways be re­mem­bered for her great sense of hu­mor. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life ser­vice will be held at 6 p. m. Jan. 25 at Prim­i­tive Methodist Church, Saint Clair. All fam­ily and friends are in­vited to at­tend. Louis D.
