2 pas­sen­gers, driver hurt in col­li­sion

EL­IZ­A­BETHVILLE — Two pas­sen­gers and a driver suf­fered sus­pected mi­nor in­juries in an ac­ci­dent that oc­curred at 2: 41 p. m. Jan. 3 on Route 209 in Wash­ing­ton Town­ship, Dauphin County, po­lice said in a re­lease is­sued Fri­day.

State po­lice at Lykens said a 2000 Chevro­let As­tro driven by Lynn A. Ox­en­rider, 60, of Lykens, and a 1996 Chevro­let K2500 driven by Adam C. Thomas, 46, of Lykens, were north­bound on Route 209 when Thomas came to a stop and was try­ing to turn left into a park­ing lot. Po­lice said Ox­en­rider failed to stop and hit the rear of Thomas’ ve­hi­cle.

Po­lice said Thomas and two pasen­gers in Ox­en­rider’s ve­hi­cle, Roger A. Foultz, 42, of Lykens and Linda A. Ox­en­rider, 66, of Lykens, suf­fered sus­pected mi­nor in­juries while Lynn Ox- en­rider was not hurt.

Po­lice said Lynn Ox­en­rider was cited for fol­low­ing too closely. Life Team 6 as­sisted at the scene, po­lice said.
