Syrinx Reed Quintet will be performing in Hemet
The Syrinx Reed Quintet will perform on the fourth concert of the Hemet Concert Association’s 48th season.
The concert is at 2:30 p.m. March 27 in the Performing Arts Center on the campus of Tahquitz High School, 4425 Titan Trail, Hemet.
Tickets are $30. Admission is free for those 22 and younger.
The Hemet Concert Association will observe the Hemet
Unified School District’s continuing coronavirus safety measures, requiring those attending to wear face masks while indoors.
The Syrinx Reed Quintet, founded in 2018, performs a wide variety of styles with repertoire from the Renaissance to today, according to a news release.
Quintet members, who are teaching artists from across the United States, are Victoria Lee, oboe; Micah Wright, clarinet; Patrick Olmos, saxophone; Mathieu Girardet, bass clarinet; and Alex Rosales Garcia, bassoon.

The Hemet Concert Association’s final concert of the season, April 24, will feature Trio Celeste with Rising Stars. At that concert, 2022-23 season subscriptions will be available for $70.
Concerts in the 2022-23 season are Fandango, featuring flute, guitar, violin and cello, Oct. 23; the Rice Brothers, a piano and cello duo playing music from Brahms to boogie-woogie, Jan. 29; pianist Svetlana Smolina, Feb. 26; Alias Brass, a quintet of trumpets, trombone, horn and tuba, March 26, 2023; and Jarabe Mexicano, April 23.
