Round up your change and help out Easterseals at Baker’s Drive-thru

-

It’s time once again to round up and help out Easterseals at Baker’s Drive-thru. During the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Baker’s Drive-thru’s Safe Halloween coupon book sales evolved into the Round Up campaign.

So, as in the past couple of years, the Inland Empire-based chain is asking guests to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar.

The overages will benefit Easterseals Southern California, an organization that provides services and support for children and adults with disabilities and has been Baker’s charity partner for 34 years.

Easterseals assists more than 15,000 people with disabilities throughout Southern California, including more than 3,500 in the Inland Empire, according to the organization.

Since 1989, Baker’s has raised more than $5.2 million for Easterseals, including $117,467 raised during last year’s Round Up campaign.

This year’s campaign will continue through Nov. 28.

Baker’s locations can be found throughout the Inland Empire.

Sorry, we're closed

We’re getting reports that Empire Delicatessen at 154 W. 40th St., San Bernardino, has closed.

The restaurant opened in the summer of 2020.

Thanks to frequent contributor Kohoso for letting us know via Twitter.

We’ve also heard that Cuca’s Mexican Food’s longtime Highland location has closed.

The former location, 3644 Highland Ave., has been removed from the chain’s website.

The chain’s original location in Redlands appears to still be under reconstruction.

Thanks to longtime contributor Brian, who also let us know via Twitter.
