Calendars feature scenes of Redlands and local events
Those who are looking for Redlands-themed calendars have several choices for 2023.
Photographers Bruce Herwig and Marge Beasley, who have each produced calendars of Redlands scenes for a number of years, have 2023 calendars, and the Redlands Conservancy has produced a calendar of winning photos from its photo contest. There is also a calendar of vintage Redlands citrus labels, printed by Redlands’ Citrograph Printing Co.
The scenes in Bruce Herwig’s calendar, his eighth, include fireworks above the Lincoln Memorial Shrine, cyclists racing in the Redlands Bicycle Classic, unicyclists in Redlands’ Great Y Circus and an evening event at Kimberly Crest.
The calendar costs $20 and is available in Redlands at Fleur de Lis, 104 E. State St.; Redlands Art Association, 215 E. State St.; the Frugal Frigate, 9 N. Sixth St.; Olive Avenue Market, 530 W. Olive Ave.; and the Redlands Visitor Center, 14 N. Fifth St., according to a news release. It is also available at bruceherwig.com.
Herwig has also produced a 2023 calendar of photos of the night sky, available at the Redlands Art Association and at bruceherwig.com.
Marge Beasley, who has produced more than a dozen calendars of Redlands scenes, has included a photo of the new Arrow train at the downtown Redlands station in her 2023 calendar. The calendar also features snowcovered mountains with orange trees and palms in the foreground, the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel and the tower of the A.K. Smiley Public Library.
The Redlands Conservancy’s 2023 calendar, which runs from November 2022 through December 2023, showcases 15 photos from the organization’s photo contest. The photos, winners in citrus, landscape and history categories, include views of San Timoteo Canyon, a closeup of parrots in an orange tree and a detail from the Asistencia.
The Redlands Conservancy calendar and Beasley’s calendar, were printed by Citrograph Printing Co., 113 E. State St., and are available there. The Redlands Conservancy calendar is also available at the Redlands Visitor Center.
Citrograph also offers a calendar featuring reproductions of colorful Redlands citrus crate labels. That calendar, the Redlands Conservancy calendar and the calendar of Marge Beasley photos cost $18 each.
