Howard’s opens in Murrieta
Howard’s has opened a store at the Murrieta Town Center shopping center at 39837 Alta Murrieta Drive.
The store has a large showroom with kitchen appliances, laundry systems, TVS and mattresses.
“As we introduce new Southern California stores, we fuel our brand partners’ expansions, particularly over the next five years as the pandemichigh use of major appliances and consumer durables hasten the end of life for these products,” said John Riddle, CEO & Chairman.
The La Habra-based retailer has 17 locations in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Logistics provider renews in Perris
NFI Industries, a supply chain logistics provider, has renewed its lease at Perris Distribution Center, according to Newmark, which represented the landlord, Ares Management.
The distribution center at 657 Nance St. includes a two-story cross-dock facility expandable to 1,137,000 square feet.
On the move
Ted Frumkin has joined Heritage Grocers Group, the parent company of Cardenas Markets, as senior vice president of store development. Frumkin already is familiar with the chain, providing real estate guidance to Cardenas Markets since 2020 as president and chief executive of TBF Strategic Realty Advisors. Before that stint, he was group vice president of real estate and construction of North Carolinabased The Fresh Market.
Matthew Mena is the new executive director of the Inland Economic Growth & Opportunity Initiative, succeeding Jackie Melendez, who was IEGO’S first executive director. The regional network of leaders from businesses, nonprofits, higher education and state and local government works to create jobs for Inland Empire workers and students. Mena previously served in various roles at GO-BIZ and the San Bernardino County’s Economic Development Department.
Nicholas Clayton is the new president of GOCO America, a division of GOCO Hospitality. His role will include the ongoing expansion and upgrades at Glen Ivy Hot Springs in Corona. The spa property and its eleven historic mineral springs have been upgraded in recent years with the final phase of the multimillion dollar renovation project in development. The company is adding a wellness resort and community on the 60 acres adjacent to Glen Ivy Hot Springs.
Judicial appointments
Riverside County resident Francisco Navarro, 44, has been appointed to serve as a judge in the Riverside County Superior Court, filling a new position created on July 1. He has served as a deputy district attorney at the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office since 2006.
San Bernardino County resident Charlie Hill Jr., 52, has been appointed to serve as a judge in a newly created position at the San Bernardino County Superior Court. He has served as an associate general counsel and assistant general counsel at the Los Angeles Unified School District since 2009.
